You know when you've worked out the formula for a series of stories, and the familiarity of how things pan out feels comforting? That is how I feel with the Sisters of the Heart Series right now! Almost as comforting and soothing as the scent of lavender... Book 4 concentrates on the third 'sister' story, Micki. She's also floundering in life, and it seems like her foster mother, Jewel, even in death, knows exactly what her special girls need. When Micki was living at the farm, she was the one who helped Jewel and Chuck set up the lavender fields and more on top, so she was the perfect person to help get ready for the Lavender Festival. Micki arrives to a heap of affection from her new 'sisters', Harry and Olivia, but has a few nasty surprises in the form of her estranged real sister. All this, along with problems with her relationship with her daughter, Meg, cause heartache, but with the aid of her new 'sisters', as well as a newfound friend, Buck, Jewel's attorney, and the serenity gained from working with the earth, again, prove to be the formula for a peaceful, fulfilled future. Sometimes, you need happy endings. I love that each book dives into the separate sisters, giving us readers plenty to form our bonds with the characters and the development of relationships, proving that you can still find happiness, no matter your age. Also, I still want to visit this make-believe place! On to book 5!
I read Blossoms at Lavender Valley (Sisters of the Heart Book 4) bu Tammy L. Grace through the Kindle Unlimited program. Each book just keeps getting better and better. This is a series that will have you feeling all the emotions.
Chuck and Jewel Austin were wonderful foster parents. To many of their dozens of foster daughters they were the only parents the girls ever really knew or could count on. Throughout the years Jewel had written letters to five of the girls she had forged a special bond with. She enjoyed keeping up with their lives and keeping that special relationship strong. In book 1 Greetings from Lavender Valley (which is available as a free download), you meet all the main characters through these letters.
Decades later, (and long after Chuck had passed away) Jewel knows her time is coming to an end, so she writes a letter (to be sent after her passing) to Harriet “Harry” McKenzie, one of the five special women. She is very organized and a go-getter, and Jewel knew she could count on Harry to follow her wishes and get the other four women (that she calls Harry’s sisters of the heart) to join her at the Lavender Valley Farm. Each book is dedicated to following each of these women as they find their way back to Lavender Valley Farm and get to know their sisters of the heart!
In Blossoms at Lavender (book 4 in the series), you meet Micki Armstrong. She lost her husband at a young age and raised her two children as a single parent. She did well for herself and provided a good life for her children, but with them off to college Micki is feeling the effects of an empty nest. Then when a secret she has hidden since before her children were born comes to light, she risks losing her beloved daughter who now no longer trusts her.
Harry’s invitation to Lavender Valley Farm is exactly what Micki needs at this low point in her life. Rekindling her passion for working with her hands in the lavender fields is a balm to her soul. She realizes that Jewel knew exactly what she was doing in getting the “sisters of the heart” together at last.
Since I am not one to retell the story, or give spoilers, I will leave it there. As with all of Tammy Grace’s books this newest one did not disappoint, I loved it as much as all her others. If you love small towns, furry friends, a bit of mystery, and a sprinkling of sweet romance you are going to love this one too!
Blossoms at Lavender Valley is book four of the Sisters of the Heart series. I fell in love with the free download Greetings from Lavender Valley and knew that I was going to be reading all of the books. If you haven’t read that one yet, hurry and get your free copy. You’ll be glad you did.
Jewel along with her husband are the owners of Lavender Valley Farm. They were not able to have children of their own and they became foster parents to many children over the years. Jewel became especially attached to five of the girls and called them her daughters. She kept with all of them over the years. They are all invited back to the farm for a year to help run it.
This story is about Micki. The farm is where her love of flowers was born. You’ll find each woman found a certain something about themselves while living under Jewel’s roof years ago. I have enjoyed seeing them work out their problems and reading of their memories of that time period. It was nice to see what an influence it had on each of these women’s lives.
I devour these books the moment they hit my inbox. Life got in the way and took over and I was not able to post yesterday as I normally do. If you love wholesome and heartwarming stories then this series is a must. In fact, it hit number one during the night for new releases!
I just know you’re gonna love this book and series. Until next time…Happy Reading!

Blossoms at Lavender Valley is book four of the Sisters of the Heart series and is the story of Micki. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the author and opinions expressed are my own.
This book, like those before, drew me in and I couldn't wait to see how things turn out for Micki. She is one of five non-biological sisters who were raised by the loving owners of Lavender Valley Farm. Just as she worked through some tough issues in her youth, with the help of her beloved foster mother Jewel, Micki now finds herself back at the farm later in life. She is faced with more challenges to overcome, but just might be in exactly the right place at the right time to deal with them.
This series is so uplifting and inspiring. I especially enjoyed Micki's story and found myself rooting for her the whole way. I hope you snap this series up quickly and get ready to binge read. You won't regret it!
Thank you to the author for the ARC - all opinions are my own. This is Micki’s story in Jewel’s sisters-of-the-heart series. Micki has arrived at Lavender Valley, and she is dealing with the heartache of her daughter’s estrangement. She digs in to promoting the farm, planting flowers, vegetables and using her skills to bring a retail business to the farm. Unfortunately, her abusive sister shows up and begins to stalk her, using Micki’s daughter as ammunition. Jewel’s lawyer is a great source of help to Micki as well as a friend. Although I said it before in my prior reviews in the series, I highly recommend starting with Greetings from Lavender Valley, which has a little bit about each of the 5 foster kids as introduced by Jewel. I am personally keeping that book handy and rereading the brief section about each girl as I read the rest of the series.
Jewel’s vision to unite her five long-term foster daughters at her beloved farm after her death comes closer to fruition with Micki’s arrival at Lavender Valley Farm. The Lavender Festival preparations are given a boost with Micki’s creative ideas. She joins her ‘Sisters of the Heart’, Harry and Olivia, as they revive the various enterprises that their foster mom, Jewel, started. However, Micki also brings her personal problems and heartbreak. With the compassion, empathy and practical support she receives, she starts to resolve her difficulties, despite additional challenges thrown in her path. Tammy Grace’s excellent writing style and plot development keeps her readers fully engaged in this captivating and heartwarming series. I received a free review copy of this book and this is my honest opinion.
Micki is back in Lavender Valley, but misses her children Meg who is currently not speaking to her and Chad who is studying in London. Then a horrible blast from her past shows up, but fortunately, lawyer Buck is able to help her figure out how it deal with all of this. Plus she has these sisters of the heart who she had never met before, although they all stayed with the same foster family. Can the sisters and Buck help Micki get through all of these issues? Read this to find out.
The pace is engrossing and the tone is hopeful with a character centered storyline that has a few kisses only. The characters are vivid and engaging. The animals play as big a part as the humans sometimes, and I love that! If you love contemporary fiction that has a lot of emotion and a gentle romance, then this series is for you. Read them in order and enjoy!
Jewel has one final wish - for 5 of her foster daughters to move home for one year, take over her farm in Lavender Valley and become sisters of the heart. The women have never met but in her heart, Jewel knows they need each other. This is Micki's story. Micki is responsible for expanding the Lavender fields at Jewel's farm. She has lots of ideas to help the farm and business. Maybe that will keep her busy since she is estranged from her daughter. Beautifully crafted story. I can't wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this series. Thank you to Tammy L. Grace for this advanced review copy. In return, I am submitting my unbiased and voluntary review. All opinions and thoughts are my own.
This is an amazing series that so warms the heart; non biological sisters who were adopted by a loving couple who guided and mentored them and helped them overcome tragic experiences. As each has suffered life's challenges and loss, they are drawn back to the place where healing once occurred and learn that through a special bond with others who faced the same, they can find healing and a new start. This is Micki's story and as I have read each of the other Lavender Valley books, I thought that each could not be outdone but am pleasantly surprised as each just adds to the wonderful experience!! I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys new beginnings and encouraging stories!
Book #4 in the Sisters of the Heart series by Tammy Grace is just as beautiful as the previous books in this series. Tammy has given us such believable characters that draw you into this story and keep you holding on for more. Micki has emotional scars, just like Harry and Olivia, and coming home to Lavender Valley will be her saving grace. Working in the dirt with her plants grounds her and working on expanding her ideas for the Lavender Festival seems to give her a new look on her life there. Even though her past threatens to ruin her and her family, she will work to do what is right for all involved. Excellent story you won’t want to end.
It's early spring in Lavender Valley and Micki is enjoying getting her hands in the dirt planting flowers all around the farm. However, she has a secret that she is keeping from her sisters. Then she receives a visitor from her past that she never wanted to see. The author vividly describes the lavender fields, the barn and flowers so much so, that you feel like you are in the story. This book especially shows how the sisters are growing together in their relationship and no matter what the problem they are together in helping each other. I love the characters and can't wait for the next 'sister' to arrive at the farm.
Blossoms at Lavender Valley is the story of Micki’s return to the farm which was a place of healing and safety for her as a young woman. She’s a bit at loose ends with an empty nest and a strained relationship with her daughter, so returning to the place where she discovered her love of flowers promises respite.
Just as she’s settling in and beginning to feel better, a part of her past she’s kept hidden surfaces and threatens to destroy her happiness.
This is a heartwarming series with characters you’ll love – both human and furry.
This is book #4 in a series about 5 “Sisters of the Heart”, it is the story of Micki, who has dealt with many horrible events in her life and after her husband died young she raised her two children by herself, she is a strong and yet vulnerable person. She is bequeathed a part of her foster Mother Jewel’s, farm after she passed, and will share it with four other women, she is the gardener of the group and while she has much to overcome she finds she is in just the place she needs to be.
Great addition to the Lavender Valley series. Micki comes To the farm. She is one of Sisters of the Heart who came to the farm after being abused by her mother. Micki dogs in and adds her touch planting flowers and making plans for products for the Lavender festival. She is estranged from her daughter Meg. When her biological sister shows up, and begins to harass her, Micki is desperate to get rid of her. Lawyer Buck, makes a impression on Micki as helps with her legal trouble
Thank you to the author for this ARC. This review is my honest opinion.
These are such well written books. Love the sisters, their friends all the animals. Makes me want to live there. Can’t wait until the next book comes out. This series is feel good without being gushy or over the top. Each sister is down to earth with problems but also has a good support group. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.
Jewel fostered and mentored these ladies as teens. Now these ladies are older and still with baggage. Upon her death, Jewel has in her will that these five women will inherit the farm but must stay a year. These "sisters of the heart" learn to depend on each other. This book was mainly about Micki. It ended too soon! She has a lot of problems with her real sister. I cannot wait for the next book to find out how she overcomes her problems and meet the last "sister".
This is a good addition to the series. Mick is the fourth of the five ladies who were foster children of Jewel and her husband years before who stand to inherit the ranch. Family dynamics are often hard and Micki’s definitely are. A widow with 2 college age children, she comes because living with Jewel probably saved her life. Tammy L. Grace brings us a story with conflict, history, romance, humor and love of plants, animals and people. I can’t wait to see what Lydia’s story brings.
This story is primarily about the third sister of the heart, Mickie. Upon her arrival Harry and Olivia made her feel very welcome and she became very comfortable with Jewel's insight. She is handling promotion for the farm's festival and future endeavors as well as working with the lavender plants and other flowers. The three are waiting for the other two ladies to arrive. Excellent series.
I love the Sisters of the Heart books! Blossoms at Lavender Valley is just as good as the first three! I love how 3 strangers have come together, and now a 4th will be joining these ladies. The only thing they have in common is a dead foster mom who made a big difference in their life at different times years apart, and they never knew each other.
Love getting to know these ladies and the strength and courage they have to overcome the adversely they have endured. They have found themselves in a safe place where the prayers of their loving Jewel are coming to be. Finding sisters they needed in their lives. I can't wait to get to know Lydia better!
This is a very easy series to binge. Each books is around 250 pages, so not to long, and very easy to follow. The main character has one major obstacle to deal with, and with the books focusing just on that person, it's easy to focus on the situation. Former main characters are present, but truly supporting characters. On to book 5.
BLOSSOMS AT LAVENDER VALLEY by Tammy L Grace Due out July 12, 2023
This is book 4 in the Sisters of the Heart series. 1. GREETINGS FROM LAVENDER VALLEY 2. PATHWAYS TO LAVENDER VALLEY 3. SANCTUARY AT LAVENDER VALLEY 4. BLOSSOMS AT LAVENDER VALLEY 5. COMFORT AT LAVENDER VALLEY 6. REUNION AT LAVENDER VALLEY This is Micki Armstrong’s story.
Micki came to Jewel as a foster child. Who was not only abused by her mother but also her sister. It is now Jewel’s wish to bring 5 of her foster daughters together.
Micki lost her husband Steve 15 years ago. She raised her son Chad and daughter Megan alone. Now they are both out on their own. Micki and Meg have been estranged for awhile because of a secret Micki had kept.
Micki and her sisters of the heart Harry and Olivia hit it off immediately! Then while working with Jewel’s attorney Buck Simpson. A romance may be starting.
I loved Micki’s story as I did the others. I am so looking forward to Lydia’s story coming up next.
I was given the book by Tammy. This is my honest review!
Follow Micki back to Lavender Valley. To start a new journey with her " sisters of the heart" with Mickis 2 children off on their own, Micki is free to start over, but will she? Another great book in the Lavender Valley series.
Blossoms is another winner! The author pulls you right into the story and its hard to put down. I can't wait for the next in the series to be released!!
