I’m a freelancer who desperately needs a way to pay rent, And he’s the sexy rich jerk next door who can’t keep his mail in his own mailbox.
His escapades keep me up all night (where does he even find all the screamers?), so I overslept, and no amount of coffee will save me now. I’m too late for the most important interview of my professional life.
When he shows up with my run-away cat in his arms, I’m practically salivating over his shirtless body, and he says he likes my… cat. Turns out, that neighbor who likes to push my buttons is bff with the boss I want to work for,and he’s the person who got me the referral in the first place. Great.
After my new boss flies me to Aspen, Colorado,to work, I bump into my frustrating neighbor, and that’s when he makes an offer I can’t refuse… This is getting interesting!

Zoe Adams is an audacious author exploring the layered ups and downs of love. A passionate writer, she draws her inspiration from a variety of sources. Her admiration for romance books, her understanding of human character, and her observing eye for exciting scenarios are a few of them. But above all, her greatest writing gift is her bold, unapologetic love for love itself.
“She’s the answer.”
AnnMarie is a freelance remote personal assistant, and she is looking forward to working for Blane. Even if that means she has to deal with the obnoxious Adam.
This was such a fun introduction to this trilogy. I love the enemies-to-lovers trope. I love how Zoe creates a world with bold, charismatic characters.
AnnMarie is sweet and hardworking. She is fierce and intelligent. Adam is hardworking and a good businessman. I enjoyed their chemistry.
The ending of this novella was fantastic, and I am ready to dive into the next!
This was a cute quick read and beginning into a trilogy. It does leave you hanging so you can't read this without reading the rest (unless of course you want to lol), but I will be reading the next one to see how the story progresses.
The few things that contributed to my rating decision were that there were a few spelling mistakes, etc, and not a lot of depth to the story yet; but I do hope that will come as it moves forward.
Ann-marie is very enjoyable and I am liking Blane so far as well. Adam is a bit of an arse, but again I hope he improves with time lol.
This is the first in a trilogy, and this is Adam and Ann-Marie’s story. Ann -Marie is a freelance personal assistant, and she sleeps in and misses her interview with a well-known chef, due to her sexy next door neighbor Adam, and his nightly activities causing havoc in her live. This story ends in a cliffhanger, and is an easy-to-read romance, with humor, witty banter, and emotions, which leads to a fun and entertaining page turner.
