Iqra doesn’t find trouble…it just seems to follow her around.
Post her Mysore shenanigans, Iqra has been having trouble sleeping. She decides a girls weekend away, no men allowed, is just what she needs and it seems to be going okay until she finds a dead man floating in the hotel pool.
Shashank Mishra wasn’t enjoying his high school reunion and that was even before someone decided to murder him. Was it the hottie from school Amayra’s jealous husband who objected to her sudden interest in Shashank? Or was it the Arora’s who were pissed at the bad financial advice he gave them?
Whoever it was, they’d made the mistake of killing someone when Aunty Millenial was on the property. For Iqra won’t rest until she gets to the bottom of the mystery. More importantly, she can’t…her nosiness just won’t let her!
Will Iqra find the killer before the killer finds her? Or has our home grown detective finally bitten off more than she can chew?

The Broken Promise - Iqra Investigates by @andaleebwajid
All the Iqra fans, don't miss the chance 💃🏻💃🏻
After solving her first 2 coincidental murder mysteries, where Iqra was almost killed, she and her cousins decide to go on a girl's only holiday.... Only the boys crash in the next day
But in the interim night of that one day, there is a death at the resort. Though it looked like an accident, Iqra thought otherwise ... and the next day, another death, possibly by suicide from the same group of friends, just added to her curiosity
Supported by her sweeeet husband Saad, the inner detective in Iqra charges up and is fully activated, leading to her looking out for clues and asking questions
Could she find out if both deaths were natural or was there a murderer amongst them in the resort.... Was she able to channel her inner Karamchand and help the police solve the cases or did she just give in to her family's pressure and give up in the end
Read the book to know it all 😃
Just like Iqra is learning how to be a successful detective, Andaleeb says, she is trying to write a new genre.... but trust me, she has done a fab job here and the book holds your attention right till the end ❤️❤️
We all have that one person in our surroundings who is more bothered about what is happening around us. Neighbors fighting, husband and wife squabble, extramarital affairs, secret dates, robbery, murder, and whatnot. Like a nosy aunty, Iqra also has this quality where she is always curious to know what's happening around her.
Iqra has arranged a weekend outing with her friends to Ooty. It's a girl's outing leaving the husband behind at home. At the hotel where they are staying, there is a reunion party where something is not right. Some college days grudges, an old crush, a dead spark all are coming live and that's not a good sign.
Iqra aka Aunty Millennial hints at the scenario and she is back with her detective hat. As soon as she finds out that a murder has taken place her mind is all active and she will not rest until she knows the truth. And that's how the story begins.
Andaleeb's fictional characters always shine due to their special characteristics. And Iqra is famous for her curious and stubborn nature. Though she is lucky to have Saad in her life who loves her tremendously, she is still behind all those nuisances happening around her. But how is she gonna achieve a conclusion? This is quite serious and every person in that reunion group is a suspect. And Iqra is there only till Monday and she has hardly a day left to find out the culprit. But with her nature, she will definitely not rest. But her journey to find the culprit is going to be more difficult this time. Let's find out if she succeeds 👍👍👍
Enjoyed the sequel a lot. This time the author introduces characters from the reluctant romances series and you see an independent and bold Iqra asserting herself to her family but you also get nostalgia thinking over the over protective nature of the family and her loved ones. The mystery solving had many characters tying characters back to an elite group of people in Mumbai and I had guessed but if you are a first time reader of mystery and murders you will enjoy the drama in this murder mystery. This book brings back Iqra and Saad together once again and loved them together as a team and Saad wasn't "perfect" but with Saad it always has been the little things and some of the things he does for his wife despite not liking it really made me swoon and he really won my heart. Do read this.
The wait is over. Aunty Millennial, Iqra, is enjoying an all girls weekend in Ooty when they stumble onto a dead body. Though still troubled by the memories of nearly getting herself killed while solving the last crime, Iqra cannot let a murder go in investigated and with a little help from her friends and SM solves the crime. There are sufficient clues and foreboding to look at the ‘hidden suspect’. Definitely a book worth reading. Just don’t start late at night, or you will stay up all night.
Iqra has been one of my favourite characters created by Andaleeb, and I was so glad that Andaleeb started a spin-off series with her. In the second book of the millennial series, all Iqra wants to do is have fun with her girl gang, but when she finds a dead body floating in the pool, Iqra knows she needs to find justice. Twists and turns with a dash of romance, makes this a great book to unwind. The old group from Starville Towers also appear to add some spice. What really stood out for me in was Saad...what a wonderful husband he is turning out to be!
