Veterinarian Ned Matthews has revived his mentor’s research aimed at boosting feline intelligence. Unfortunately, the solution he’s working with has the unfortunate side-effect not only of bestowing invasive telepathic abilities on its subjects, but slowly transforming them into monstrous creatures as well. Ned is horrified when two of his test cats are released to wreck havoc in town, but it quickly becomes evident that things are even worse than he thought. Soon people are dying in the most awful of ways, or succumbing to the cats’ control. The town’s only hope of not becoming their collective scratching post rests in the paws of a small grey test-cat who might be a bit more intelligent than he seems.
This really is a super book, I truly loved. There are definitely some scary parts, but it's well worth reading. The only thing is I really wish it were much longer and drawn out more, as stories like this need to be longer. But I will give it to Jason Rubis, he did a really good job. I highly recommend this book to others readers as it was most enjoyable. I will keep an eye out for more creature books from this Author.
