Many Moons recalls and celebrates the wonderful lives, qualities, and activities of remarkable devotees who have passed beyond the scope of our vision.
Wonderful book about the glorious lives of some amazing followers of Srila Prabhupada, the founder (acharya) of the Hare Krishna movement. I was so inspired to read about the ecstatic consciousness demonstrated by these Moon Like followers of Srila Prabhupada.
By far one of the best books, I have ever read. The lives that these men and women lived are just exemplary, and they should definitely be role models for anyone who wishes to pursue true spirituality and proceed towards self-realization. The humility, compassion, commitment to Guru and all good qualities! Amazing!
Jai Srila Prabhupad.
Reminds me of a poem by H.W. Longfellow
Lives of great men all remind us We can make our lives sublime, And, departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time;
Footprints, that perhaps another, Sailing o’er life’s solemn main, A forlorn and shipwrecked brother, Seeing, shall take heart again.
Let us, then, be up and doing, With a heart for any fate; Still achieving, still pursuing, Learn to labor and to wait.
This is one of my fav Book When you read this book u feel mix emotions at same time... like u laugh when you read about Sridhar Swami Maharaj pastime and sometimes u cry bcoz this wonderful souls are no longer with us ..and get curious when you read about juhu temple incident ... Once Giriraj maharaj visited Isckon nvcc and in bhagvatam class he shared that Prabhupada personally instructed him to write book.. and that time Giriraj maharaj never know that he would be a great author... but Prabhupada knew !! And his books are reflecting the same This book talks about departed soul who were Vaishnavs and some were Prabhupada disciples ... I recommend this book to all the devotees.... READING ABOUT DEVOTEES PASTIME NEVER GOES WASTE!!
