I am glad I bought this book. It has a good story with lots of action and suspense. I didn't know who was behind it all until near the end. Hope you check out this book.

Holly Nichols is out riding her bike when she is forced off the road and then shot at! She jumps in the river hoping to escape. What is going on? Why would someone want to harm her? She escapes the river and runs into her former high school sweetheart, Seth Montgomery. He vows to protect her and her daughter, Chloe. Will he be able to protect them? Can they along with the police figure out what is going on before it is too late?

The conclusion was a surprise which raised it from 3.5 to 4..
The characters did not really grab me and the constant reference to prayer and having Christ in your life was not necessary.
As an agnostic, I found the references jarring and out of context with the story..

I would say the same if the references were about Buddhism or Hindi faith..
I don’t dispute the fact that some people do find a comfort in praying and worshipping whatever god they believe in.. I am just not one of them.

Lovers in high school reunited in extreme circumstances and discovering they did not want let go this time.
Chloe and Wyatt stand out.

This book was an excellent read from start to finish. Once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down and couldn't wait to pick it back up again. I had previously met Seth when I read the book that told his brother Eric's story and I wanted to know Seth's story then. Well this book did not disappoint in telling Seth's story and that of Holly and her little girl Chloe. From start to finish I was constantly guessing who was trying to kill Holly and why and was honestly shocked when the culprit was finally revealed. Another excellent ending by a great author.

Danger follows Holly Nichols and she will do whatever it takes to keep her daughter safe, even rely on her former sweetheart, Seth Montgomery. Together they must figure out who wants her dead before it is too late. This is a must-read book!
