' The Littlest Dragon' is a story taken from spontaneous story telling at bedtime to my daughter. It has all sorts of magical creatures and is a 'read to' from age eight to twelve and then enjoy. The vocabulary is not 'leveled.' I found that my daughter also liked to ask what a word means, and now, at twenty-seven, she has a plethora of multisyllabic linguistic choices. Not to mention the fact that she reads a lot. There are scenes of violence, but not graphic. Oh, and the wizard's apprentice keeps changing himself into a giant chicken.
