These stories paint colourful pictures of life in Britain and America in the past. We meet some unusual people. There’s the dreamy boy who wakes up one day to find a bird making a nest in his hair! And there’s the man who tries to catch a ghost.
Various is the correct author for any book with multiple unknown authors, and is acceptable for books with multiple known authors, especially if not all are known or the list is very long (over 50).
If an editor is known, however, Various is not necessary. List the name of the editor as the primary author (with role "editor"). Contributing authors' names follow it.
Note: WorldCat is an excellent resource for finding author information and contents of anthologies.
This book contains different short stories of different themes and genres, some are complicated and confusing while some are interesting to read. Take “The Rocking Horse Winner” as an example, the ending is very sudden and shocking, but the author did not say exactly what was to be expressed. The theme of the story was also not clearly presented, some may think it is death, or maybe addiction to gambling. Although the main ideas are not clear, I will still recommend it to friends and anyone interested to something as written.
