An insightful biography with photography of key locations in the life of St. Paul of the Cross. This book is helpful in getting to know the facts of the mystics life and the context in which it took place. My one criticism, however, would be that while the beginning gives a sense of Paul of the Cross and what sparked his journey of founding the Passionist Congregation, it quickly turns to what seems more like an itinerary. The details are important for historical, religious, and Passionist foundation context, but there is less of a focus on who Paul was in the midst of all this, which is something I would expect to see in a biography and was disappointed not to find.
