This was a great read, I do feel in certain chapters it was drawn-out but, nonetheless I truly enjoyed this book and would recommend it. I personally loved another perception on Christianity/religion.

The Shack by Paul Young

Author
Paul Young wrote The Shack and many other books because I believe that he was a very strong believer in the Lord and I believe Paul Young was a person who stuck with his belief and I believe that Paul Young wrote The Shack because he wanted to show and get more understanding on how the Holy Spirit works for those who may not even know who the holy spirit is just by reading the shack so with reading the shack I believe that Paul Young reached many people's hearts and helped people with the understanding on how the Holy Spirit Works who the holy spirit is and what the Holy Spirit does.Paul Young also wrote this book for his six children because he needed a Christmas gift for them. I believe that that is one of the greatest gifts that you can give your children so that they can see how you talked when you're dead and see how you would have made stories to tell them.
Plot
The Shack starts off with a story based off a girl who walks up to the shack that she has no idea is a good place or a bad place but she needs to seek shelter because it is winter time and it's snowing so she doesn't know what to do and it goes later on telling about what The Holy Spirit wanted her to do and she didn't know that it was the Holy Spirit at first that was talking to her but she went on and went with that voice that she didn't know and walked in and it turns out to be one of The best places she can be during the winter while she was seeking shelter at the time with her seeking shelter and listening to that voice she walks in to the shack and there is a fire in there warming her up and there's also plenty of food and water that she has. she goes on to wonder why that voice she listened to it in the first place and that's when the Holy Spirit started talking to her more about how it was the Holy Spirit and how God was there to help her. and with her going on and talking to the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit reveals who the holy spirit is and talks about how the Holy Spirit talk to her and she didn't know it at the time but that the Holy Spirit would go with her for the rest of her life and she couldn't ignore it and it was almost like a good thing that she was listening to it because the Holy Spirit would always help her through the bad times and the good times and would go on to show her with listening to the Holy Spirit the Holy Spirit would help her even if she didn't know what to do and that's when she would just go to the Holy Spirit and talk and say what's wrong and it was like a friendship that she said she's never had. so after it talks about how she listened to that voice and how the Holy Spirit was the friend that she's never had she later goes on to tell how the Holy Spirit helped her in our whole journey with some school on a day-to-day basis and she ends up back at the same Shack that was there before.

This novel was a game changer for me. Though it contains a tense, gritty scene involving the random kidnap and murder of a child, it is nonetheless a powerful story of forgiveness and redemption, and offers an enlightening look at what heaven might be like. My biggest takeaway: Jesus (and the Father and the Holy Spirit) meets each of us where we’re at in our lives, good, bad, or in the middle. His Love transcends all of our preconceived notions regarding judgment, mercy, and what lies beyond death. I highly recommend reading this story, it gave me hope and maybe it will do the same for you.

This book yields a great insight into what is truly important in life. I highly recommend that everyone reads it. For even if you lack in faith, you might find solace and comfort in this book.

This is a life changing read for sure! I am planning on re-reading. I love how the overarching themes are discussed in such a simple and beautiful way. I definitely had to keep reminding myself that this was a non-fiction🤣, but the author had fair warning about this in the foreword. Great book!
