I read this book in my early teens, in the 90s, and loved it. It's one of many many books I was reading back then, but today part of only a few that I still remember. It was sweet, original and the first book to bring me to tears... For that I may be slightly biased, but it will always hold a place in my heart.
I read and re-read these books obsessively in middle school, the first 3 were my favorites and this one was my very favorite. Weird because they're technically about angels but I'm not religious in the slightest and I loved them! So much fun!
I read this in high school (forgot what year exactly, haha), or maybe it was in grade school, I honestly forgot! anyway, I remember liking the story very much that’s why I can still remember it up til now. :)
Three girls who die before their time are sent to Teen Heaven. Each will be sent down at various times to help another young person in need.
The more people they successfully help, the more they earn credits to buy stuff in Teen Heaven and eventually will go to real Heaven.
Cisco is the first one to go down to help a drug fueled musician turn his life around.
Also, in the book are Deep Sixers, bad teens who went to Teen Hell instead of Teen Heaven. Their task is to ruin Teen Angel’s assignment and ensure the person on earth continues to lead a life of self-destruction.
