This is it. The final showdown between the curse and the twelve descendants of the zodiac.
Jocelyn Everett has been on her own for the last four years. Ever since the tragedy that ended her fiancé’s life on the day of her wedding, a tragedy that the entire town blames her for. But no one blames her more than Rafe Wilder, her former best friend and the man she’s been in love with since she first laid eyes on the lonely, haunted boy in the woods.
But with the curse winning in its quest to sink their island into the sea, everything hinges on her ability to work with Rafe. As the descendant of Sagittarius, Jocelyn can weave the illusion necessary to bring the curse’s human host to his death, but her magic is useless without Rafe’s trust. And earning that will prove to be more difficult than battling the black magick from an ancient god.
Rafe Wilder has loved one woman his entire life. Unfortunately, that woman was off-limits long before he ever came to Zodiac Cove. Having spent the last four years blaming himself as much as Jocelyn for his best friend’s death, the moody Gemini doesn’t know how to dig himself out of the cycle of guilt and blame that keeps him from claiming the woman who should’ve always been his.
But when they’re trapped in Jocelyn’s apartment together, they have no choice but to face their past. Especially when Jocelyn keeps weaving memories that reveal the pieces she’d kept from him. And when that reckoning finally comes to a head, Rafe will have to hold them up in more ways than one. Because the curse is eating away the land beneath their feet, and their combined magic is the only hope they have of stopping it.
It's the final book and we have an ending worth the trip. I loved how the group was able to understand one another and fight the curse and win. Loved seeing it! The plot was moving quickly and I loved how the curse was finally won and what happened during those action moments was done well.
The romance between Jocelyn and Rafe is a second-chance romance and the beginning of the book is filled so much pain and sorrow. They've both done and said things that they need to talk about and so much has been kept secret from one another. I am with Cole on this one, the radical move was needed and I was so happy to see these two star-crossed lovers find each other again. I did want to see more groveling from Rafe though, it was coming mostly from Jocelyn's side, but I was happy with what we got.
The epilogue was a delight and I'm so happy to see this story come to a conclusion and this story will remain in my heart.
What I loved in this series: 🔺Concept of fated mates paired with the zodiac descendants 🔺History of Nirah & Ceti (though I wished it was explored or expanded more) 🔺The perfect characterization based on each character's zodiac sign, element, and power 🔺The extended epilogue *chef's kiss*, not only did we get a glimpse of all the 12 descendants but the transition of POVs was seamlessly done
What I didn't like in this series: 🔻Miscommunication tropes left and right 🔻RAFE DIDN'T GROVEL 🔻Cole never got his powers back
So, so good! These two had the furthest to come to work together and took the longest to try. I still want to just wrap everyone up in a giant hug. The ending was what I hoped for and I’m sad to be down with the series. This one is going to go on my reread pile for sure because I want to go back and find the little details and hints I may have missed. Do yourself a favor and lose yourself in this series.
This series was sooooo addictive. It was wonderful to go through 6 books with all these characters and watch them grow and fall in love 😭 I appreciated how each couple had issues/trauma that was realistically and respectfully handled. Also, I loved the humor in this series - I had multiple giggle fests 🤭
Highly recommend reading the final bonus epilogue if you're like me and love fluff. Such a cute little glimpse of each couple, 6 years after the curse was defeated. ❤️

A really nice end to this series, wished that Cole got back his powers though that was my one hope.... but nope. Alot of things went unanswered relating to the couple. For example they never addressed that Rafe tried to get Jocelyn kicked off of the island (like it was said in previous books) and how he had a part in barring her from everything on the island. There was no grovelling on his part but she kept what actually happened with Kyle from him too.... but he also did alot to retaliate against her. When we get his PoV, it was about how he loved her since they were 13 but...... it didn't really make sense when he hated her so intensely throughout the other books.
