I wasn't sure what to expect about this book based on the cover. I have never watched Amazing Stories on television either, so no insight was granted to me there. I started reading and fell into a strange conglomeration of quirky humor, faced paced action, and elements of science fiction. I was even more surprised when I had to make a choice about what I thought the protagonist should do at the end of chapter one. I haven't completed a choose your own adventure book for a long time, so I was unprepared for being involved in the story. It was fun, and it took me back to my childhood days where I read Dungeons and Dragons choose your own adventure, but my favorite was my Zork choose your own adventure for sure. I recommend this book to kids who are on the fence about reading. This is a fun little adventure, and it might pay to get readers involved in a story to peak their interest about reading.

Mass market, hastily written, hokey - man, this was one of my favorite books to read and reread at the age of 15. This was my favorite choose-your-own-adventure book. Yee ha!
