I used this volume as textbook for my Greek History course. It was OK as an introductory guide, but I am disappointed that 1) the contents are not up-to-date with recent research, especially new archaeological finds regarding chronology of Bronze Age migrations; 2) the book itself was not well edited and compiled - the layout was not reader-friendly to say the least, and I've found multiple editorial mistakes, some of which were so obvious (like a missing space) that they really affect the work's credibility negatively. Overall I wouldn't recommend using this book as your introductory textbook to Greek History -- for the same price you can get a much better deal elsewhere.
