Usually I would say "SANDRA GLOVER BOOKS ARE AMAZING!" but with this one, I'd say, this was good, but couldn't measure up to my favourite Glover book, 'The Girl Who Knew'.
Still, if I were younger I'd probably love this book a lot more.
Basically 'Spiked' follows the story of Debra, who after getting ALL A's and A*s for her GCSEs, goes to a party celebrating the end of their exams with her classmates (and a few teachers).
And at the party, (you guessed it) her drink gets spiked.
Other events ensue as a result.
I will be honest, I wasn't quite sure who the perpetrator was (there were MULTIPLE people with the motive neatly packed into the SAME ROOM) until the reveal at the end.
A blast from the past, and really helped me work on my reading goal (finish reading some of the books I've started but haven't gotten round to finishing just yet). Bonus points for helping me out when a friend went AWOL for some unknown reason.
(Started reading a few pages on July 7th or so then read the rest of it on July 13th)
