This was another great adaptation of an excellent So Weird episode. The reason why this episode resonates with me so much is that this is the first episode that plainly foreshadows what happens in an episode from season two, entitled Strange Geometry.

The premise of this book is basically Fi and company are heading off to watch Aunt Melinda playing one of the witches in the Shakespeare play, MacBeth. Aunt Melinda is Fi's aunt on her late father's side, although Melinda's chemistry with Molly is nearly that of a blood family member. Melinda happens to be using a book her brother gave her as a prop, not realizing it is so much more than just a mere prop. Fi becomes curious of the book and unwittingly sets the dragon free from the front cover of the book.

It was apparent to me that the episode more so serves to foreshadow what happens in season two of the television series, and the book does an okay job in presenting this to us as readers. However, this is a huge detriment to the book as well. The main con of the book is the fact that it runs at a bit over 100 pages and could have been longer (add about 20-30 pages). More depth to Melinda could have been added, as well gaining more perspective from Molly about what she is seeing with her daughter and her general concern for her daughter's safety.

Overall, I did really enjoy this book and am excited to read the last adaptation.
