Story writes itself. Super interesting dude. Author tells it with excitement but also annoyingly beats around the bush at times. 5 stars for the family.
From the German-Polish border to China, the Philippines, then to Central America through the Mexican Revolution and World War I, Dreben was a dare devil of the first order. He literally participated in any war that offered itself in his lifetime. His escapades are legendary and his biography a book that cannot be set down. Leibson does a great job laying out the story. Lack of research leads him here and there to embellish Dreben's story which really does not need it.
