The Blueprint for LSAT Reading Comprehension teaches students how to address the Reading Comprehension section of the LSAT. Readers will learn how to categorize passages based on structure, rather than subject matter, dissect the passages to anticipate questions, and tackle the questions in the most efficient manner possible. Students will learn these methods by working through 33 real LSAT passages, taken from some of the most current Reading Comprehension passages available. Because the LSAT in general and Reading Comprehension in particular have gotten more difficult over the years, it's important that students use the most recent LSAT questions to prepare. The Blueprint for LSAT Reading Comprehension uses the same effective and humorous techniques taught in Blueprint's live and online LSAT prep courses. Each book comes with a free MyBlueprint student account, which allows readers to access Blueprint's website and read PDF explanations for every Reading Comprehension explanation not already in the book. Whether you're studying for the test on your own or you've already taken a course and are looking to improve your score in Reading Comprehension, The Blueprint for LSAT Reading Comprehension is a true Reading Comprehension bible.
This book/guide provides a fantastic approach to tackling the Reading Comprehension section on the LSAT and does it in a fun and enjoyable way. Having taken the full classroom experience, I realized that I still needed to sharpen up my handling of the various Reading Comprehension passages and that I wasn't entirely confident on what I took out of the classroom. I was offered a free copy of this book and invited to give my honest opinion on my thoughts. After completing the book, I was surprised on how fairly easy it was to read and understand and that it worked to strengthen what I had already learned from the class while at the same time presenting a different perspective and additional explanations for correctly utilizing the Blueprint methods. I can happily say that I have seen a huge improvement in not only the RC section of the test as a whole but also in my ability to approach other areas of the test and correctly utilize the methods presented in this book to quickly notice common structures and patterns. With regards to the RC section, I am no longer feeling overwhelmed by the amount of information presented and am able to correctly answer almost every question. The best part about this book is that it does a great job of complementing other areas of the LSAT. With LSAT prep, it is always up to each person to determine what methods and strategies work for them and often is the case that different companies will have different methods and strategies that may appeal to one person but not to another person. However, given my experience, I highly recommend giving this book a chance and I feel that it does a great job of presenting a comprehensive approach that is incredibly rewarding as a stand-alone tool but that can also complement any style of LSAT prep and level of LSAT understanding.
This book was just what I needed to complete my LSAT study prep. I had plenty of the books for LR and games but not much helpful material for Reading Comp. Just like BP's Logic Game book - this was easy to understand and well-structured! Highly recommended for anyone preparing for LSAT who is needing some prep in this section.
