War, Poverty, hunger and crime are caused by the fear that surrounds money and its scarcity. Money is energy, and energy is limitless. Only our fear and our limited way of thinking make money seem scarce. Using the tools and the exercises in Chapter Three, you can reconnect with the sacred origins of money, and direct the flow of money through your life and the world on a current of love, joy, goodwill and abundance. Money is energy, and according to quantum physics the universe is made up of energy, which becomes matter only when information is focused on it. Wood is wood and not iron because of the information that forms the two different kinds of matter. Too many of us labor under the belief that money is "a necessary evil," which is, more often than not, difficult to obtain. By changing our feelings about money from fear, anger, greed and scarcity, to love, joy, abundance and goodwill, we can change the way money moves through our lives and the lives of others all over the world. "MONEY IS LOVE" teaches that as we begin to remove the negative thoughts and feelings that surround money and redefine money as love, we bring the power of love into all of our monetary transactions. This in turn opens our hearts to allow money to flow abundantly into our lives, creating a place of peace and joy. From this place of harmony we can then send money back out into the world on a flow of love and gratitude. Money healed can begin to heal all that it touches. And because money flows like blood through the planet, diseased it causes disease, but infused with love, money can become rejuvenating. This work stands out from other transformational money theories, because it deals with not only healing our personal relationship with money, but with healing the money itself, returning it to its sacred roots and then using this money infused with love as an agent for healing "Money is the blood of the planet. Heal the money and we can heal the world." Page 82.
Would like more documentaries research of her statements about the past culture beliefs. A very idealist but beneficial concepts she brings to the money table.
As I said in my earlier review, reading this book was interesting mainly in reshaping or rephrasing the way we look at money. Although I did’t necessarily agree with everything that is said, I really liked the idea of seeing Money through the lens of Love / the Divine / Abundance. It helped me reflect on the limiting beliefs most of us carry about money and provided good tools to help change the narrative and view money differently.
So basically, not groundbreaking but definitely interesting and useful!
Now every time I send money I include the word Love in it! Thanks to this Book I broke the stigma of money and now I believe thermometers love and I'm responsible for circulating it
The beginning of this book has an fascinating history of the origins of money, and how ancient people used to consider it an extension of the divine.
Some of the suggested rituals for turning people's fearful thoughts about money into loving thoughts are good, although sometimes not applicable for people who don't actually spend a lot of cash--or even write a lot of checks--because so much of what we buy is purchased online with just a few clicks of a mouse and so much of our banking is done entirely online. I would have liked to have read her suggestions for an electric bill automatically deducted from a checking account, a sewer bill paid through a bank's billpay service, a credit card paid through an electronic transfer from a checking account, a paycheck automatically deposited into a checking account.
In spite of that, it was still good. Just the knowledge that money...whether it's actual money or an electronic transfer of funds...is simply a symbol of the divine providing our needs for us is powerful enough to prevent worry and obsession.
As the author herself mentiones money and love might seem strange combination, neverhteless, it took over my doubts and I enjoyed the reading. Although rolling in money is still not an option for me, the book tought me some very useful aspects that I really needed to face at this point of my life. It really found me at the right time. Althought there are things I could mark as not very successful from the writing point, I give 4 stars just for perfect timing.
