Financial Management 101: Get a Grip on Your Business Numbers is the second book in the "Numbers 101 for Small Business" series. This book covers business planning, from understanding financial statements to budgeting for advertising. Angie Mohr's easy-to-understand approach to small-business planning and management ensures that the money coming in is always greater than the money going out!
"Even Microsoft and Ford started in someone’s basement or garage," says Angie Mohr, "but people all over the world have been given and idealized and unrealistic view of how to operate a business, and most discount the importance of the basics."

This book provides a good overview of key financial concepts for small business owners. It's not an in depth book on financial management and therefor may be too elementary for some. However, most small business owners have little or no understanding of and/or desire for knowing about finances. This book will provide just what is needed in order to run the business and have meaningful conversations with your Accountant or Bookkeeper.

I have 4 of her books. I am an entrepreneur and found them invaluable as I am not very financially literate and her books helped me realize I needed to change financial advisers and how to go about doing so.

A quick, accessible introduction to the basic principles and procedures that any small business should adopt. Well worth a read, whether you're getting started or fine-tuning the accounting for an existing business.
