Rate this book
Titan was one of the nation's most loved and respected Heroes, until an infidelity scandal tore his image and family apart. After decades spent out of the limelight, Owen Daniels has decided to take up the mantle of Titan once again to try and make amends for his years away. Unfortunately, the Titan Scandal is still common knowledge, and no Hero team wants such a polarizing figure. With no other options, Owen is forced to take a job overseeing a group of corpies, corporate-sponsored Supers who do rescue work... as long as there are cameras around. Between a team that doesn't want him, fellow Heroes who don't trust him, and a nation that might not be ready to forgive the sins of the past, the return of Titan could prove even harder than the scandal that drove him away. But Owen will have to push on, because his new city is far from a peaceful one. A mysterious enemy is attacking Heroes and growing steadily stronger. An enemy that only the once-legendary Titan might be able to stop. If he can manage to stick around this time. Performed by Nanette Savard, Thomas Penny, Daniel Llaca, Alyssa Keegan, Andy Clemence, Dawn Ursula, Scott Bruffey, Danny Gavigan, Jenna Sharpe, Jessica Lauren Ball, Eric Messner, Christopher Walker, David Cui Cui, Laura C Harris, Christopher Williams, David Zitney, Megan Poppy, David Jourdan, Eva Wilhelm, Bradley Foster Smith, Robb Moreira, Eli Van Zandt, Nathanial Perry, Richard Rohan, and James Konicek.

Spin-off story taking place in the middle of the Super Powereds series, but you can read it where it fits (between years 2 and 3) or wait and read it after. This is Titan's redemption story and how he returns to being a hero. It is a hard return and he initially gets stuck babysitting corporate sponsored supers who do rescue work. He has to prove himself to them, the other heroes in town, and himself. It isn't long before he gets caught up in a robot war and his unique talents (strength and indestructability) place him back where he belongs as a real hero.

There is a great cast of characters and lots of humor mixed in with more sensitive topics. The story gets slightly bogged down in the middle, but once you meet Hopcules (in the second half), you won't look back. This is a fun story, and I wouldn't mind seeing more of this universe.

The dramatized adaptation is well done, and the voices really make this story come alive. Note: I provided the same review for both parts 1 and 2, since it didn't make sense to provide reviews for half of the story.

This was interesting since it is the same universe as Superpowerds and there is a connection. Like a re-origin story. If you enjoy the Superpowereds, then you might enjoy this one as well. A good 'spin-off'.
