Veterinarian Lauren Townsend has good reason for hiding her psychic ability. Not only did her “freakishness” earn her pariah status in the small town where she grew up, it cost her her faith in love. When Lauren foresees a murder — through the killer’s eyes — he traces the victim to a sprawling ranch, never guessing what waits for her…

Cal Taggart’s rugged ranch life doesn’t need any more complications. But then beautiful Lauren enters his corral…with danger close behind. They can’t deny their intense attraction, but what begins as a fling with no strings becomes a fight for survival — and for true love.

A psychic heroine who has visions of murder being committed.

An ex-rodeo champion who is fighting to save his ranch.

And a whole can of emotional worms.

Every Breath She Takes by Norah Wilson was everything I expected to be and more, the romance had enough spark, the heroine was no damsel in distress and the hero was no macho alpha male ready to take on the world. In fact, the murder waiting to happen kind of takes a backseat with all the other issues that take place at Foothills Guest ranch like the debt issues of Cal’s ex-wife, the arrival of Cal’s estranged father, and the insidious sabotage of his guest ranch business. I loved how the author has consistently maintained the characterization of Lauren whose primary objective is to prevent the murder she sees in her visions. Cal’s emotional instability and his lack of confidence add the necessary anguish and sweetness to the romance between Lauren and Cal.

There’s not much surprise in the unveiling of the murderer but there are enough twists and turns in the story that made it a quick and fast-paced read. A well-written novel in the romantic suspense genre with equal amounts of romance and suspense, I would be happy to check out more books by this author.

Delightful 4 stars 💧💧💧💧

When I first saw Lauren’s Eyes by Norah Wilson, the book failed to catch my eye. Maybe because the book cover that depicted a couple of horses didn’t stir my pick-this-book-up-immediately-radar. But once I read The Merzetti Effect and became drawn towards Norah’s style and the way she presents a story to the reader, I knew I needed to get my hands on every romance that she has published to-date.

The new glossy cover toting man-candy certainly whetted my appetite for more and Lauren’s Eyes made its way to my massive TBR, time and yet again to be bumped up because the story seemed to call something deep inside of me. And now, having read the book from start to finish and having loved every minute of the journey, I have just got to say, Kudos Norah, for a story that hits ALL the right spots head on!

Callum Taggart (Cal) is a rancher who has hit hard times and has resigned himself to taking in tourists to turn his business around. Cal is a man who has so much pain deep inside of him, which he hides from the rest of the world so effectively that even Cal himself doesn’t realize that he hurts for things that he cannot seem to voice. A childhood that had taught Cal the lesson never to depend on anyone else but himself and later on a marriage that had failed miserably has Cal shouldering each and every responsibility without flinching, never trusting anyone else and never really understanding his own worth until Lauren comes into his life and turns everything around.

Lauren Townsend is a 30 year old veterinarian, a gift that makes her susceptible towards the behavior and emotions of animals that makes her very good at what she does. Lauren’s psychic ability makes her sensitive to visions that shows her homicides that until now Lauren has been unable to stop. Her changeling nature has made her a bit of a loner, the past relationships in her life a testament to the fact.

It is Lauren’s psychic visions that brings her to the Foothills Guest Ranch where she meets Cal Taggart, whose silver gaze makes her think of the swirling depths of the Atlantic Ocean, and makes her want to lose every single inhibition she has and say yes to the fire that smolders in Cal’s eyes, promising her a world of pleasure that Lauren has not yet known.

What starts out merely as Lauren’s attempt to save a woman’s life turns into something much bigger and complex as her growing attraction towards Cal makes her want and yearn for much more than the straightforward sexual affair that Cal is ready to offer. For both Cal and Lauren, the desire that they feel for each other that burns hotter and more out of control with each and every encounter slowly chips away their resistance towards letting their hearts get involved.

As trouble continues to mount at the ranch and unexpected guests arrive, it is Lauren that proves at each and every turn that in her Cal has finally found someone he can completely rely on and place his trust in, because in her arms, Cal finally feels as if he has come home.

I started Lauren’s Eyes thinking that I would be getting an enjoyable romantic suspense with a heroine who has psychic abilities posing the usual conflicts that such characters bring to the stories. But, with Norah, I have come to realise that she always has a way of far exceeding my expectations. Reading Lauren’s Eyes was like unwrapping a gift with hidden compartments, each layer that unfolded making the story that much more irresistible.

Cal’s inner tortured nature makes him such a worthy hero to sigh over, his mere presence devastating to the senses. Cal is the type of hero that I can’t get enough of, the type of hero that I wish authors would write more of! Even now, a couple of hours after finishing the book, I find myself thinking of Cal at odd times, thinking of those heady moments he shares with Lauren filled with such raw desire and want that one can’t help but want more of the same. Norah certainly ups the heat in this novel and for those who love blistering heat and passion of the toe curling variety in their romantic suspense, I guarantee that Lauren’s Eyes provides that in spades!

I have identified with the fact that Norah has an innate ability to create heroines who don’t do much fluttering around, wringing their hands bemoaning the fates for putting them in the path of the hero. And true to Norah’s style, Lauren turned out to be such a fantastic heroine, someone that I loved right from the very beginning. Her need to comfort Cal right from the very beginning made her land in my favorite heroines shelf for now & always!

The ending when it came, had me with tears in my eyes, something that yet again Norah seems to do to me so effortlessly to with her novels.

As I said before, there are so many elements to the story that makes the book what it is, that one needs to read this to uncover and appreciate it for. The characters, the setting and the romance all make for a fantastic read, one I cannot recommend highly enough and cannot applaud Norah enough!

How are the sex scenes?

Plentiful, sweet, romantic, lustful and realistic.
I especially loved the oral scene.
It is endearing and charming and exactly what a hero and heroine should be.

How are the story lines?

The romance and suspense share the plot perfectly.
The characters act within reason and the heroine is strong.

Review

"Every Breath She Takes" by Norah Wilson is a contemporary romantic suspense novel based in Alberta, Texas.

Cal Taggart is a chivalrous and good-hearted hero who's a tad too nice to his idiot ex-wife. He also has daddy problems that cause him self-esteem issues. He's a protector and he's in charge, yet not controlling.

Lauren Townsend makes the story. Having suffered through premonitions most her life, she's fed up with waiting for victims to die because she can't identify them. She plants herself in the center of Cal's ranch determined to save the life she knows will be at risk.

Norah NEVER lets Lauren stray from her purpose.

This is a romance novel - Lauren finds someone to do, but Norah keeps her heroine on point, thereby creating a consistently strong character. Cal has the "issues" in this story, because Lauren's main goal won't allow her to wallow in self-pity for longer than three sentences.

There's a wonderful father/son element that enhances the hero/heroine relationship.

After page 200 there are twists and turns and action with HUGE plot revelations.

The entire story ends on a steady upswing making "Every Breath She Takes" a romance reader's paradise.

You liked it. Why didn't it receive 5 stars?

I happen to come across this book and its a pretty good read :)

It starts of to be very slow, so this isn't a fast racing book I am used to. Its pretty darn slow.

 photo EVERY_zpsfdb1784a.jpg

Lets start with Lauren, I really loved her. She is smart, matured and pretty witty :D she is an independent and self sufficient person :)

She by profession is a vet but she gets these visions where people are gonna get hurt she wants to help but not many believe her and if they do, they cannot save the victim in time.
One such visions brings her to a ranch owned by Cal :D. Here in her vision she sees some one strangling a women, to save that women she travels to Cals ranch. To her surprise, the future victim is none other than Cal's ex wife :D

Now who is the criminal and whether Cal's ex is saved or no and all forms the plot of the story ;) you need to read it

Cal:

Oh he is an absolute sweetheart and I really liked him. Easy to read and one can easily understand from where is comes :)

They are an easy couple to read as such and the author educates you to a ranch life and its terminology. I loved their Barn Moment a lot (hehe) where they get seriously intimate and Cal tells Lauren if she goes out people are going to know they have been naughty cause of the stubble marks on her neck :D so cute!!!

 photo b1e57db9aef561e7b997c85fc8aa672d_zps0562d318.jpg

“Anywhere, she thought. He could touch her anywhere with that talented mouth, those clever hands. She’d do anything as long as he didn’t stop. On a surge of raw lust, she caught his lower lip between her teeth and bit. His growl thrilled her, but then he flexed a powerful thumb against her throat.”

 photo ea510c3e2668b49936b2462d38a5ccc8_zps331ef553.jpg

“Her bathrobe came off with one sweep, exposing her silky skin, fragrant from the bath. Perfect, he marveled, even as part of him wondered when his tastes had changed so radically. Small breasts, boyishly slender hips, long, long legs.
Mine! On that fierce thought, he proceeded to brand her with his mouth.”

 photo 2f2d3791ae41639b72f3f7b106f878c0_zpse394cf52.jpg

In all I loved it though as I said its pretty slow but a good read anyways :D I like the fact that it had an element of suspense and romance :D

For me 3* NJOY!!!

Unlike the other readers who enjoyed this book, I thought it was just okay. I was intrigued about it when I read the synopsis. Unfortunately, I found it anything but intriguing. In fact I'm surprised I even finished it as I thought it was way too long. Like another reader mentioned, there is a lot going on in this novel, which in turn did add a lot of value to the novel. However, the downfall being the main story - Lauren's psychic visions - took a huge backseat to everything else. So much so, there were times I completely forgot about her visions. I'd have to say the romantic angle was the focal-point. Speaking of which, I didn't like either character. Lauren came off as a know-it-all; and Cal, well there were instances that I thought he was too alpha male at times and not in a good way; which is funny because at times I also thought he came across as effeminate. I got tired of reading about his insecurities with Lauren, his dad, his ex, his ranch, etc. etc. Like I mentioned earlier, the novel was too long. I believe this novel could have used some good editing.

It took me a lifetime to get into this book. It was a good read, the characters were deep and well drawn but you could see the ending coming from a mile away. Could have done with a little more suspense for me.

I cannot say enough good things about Norah Wilson, Author. We have had a few reviewers read her submissions and write wonderful reviews for her books. I have been secretly reading them as well on my own, just for me. I decided for this submission, I wanted to finish off 2012 with reading and reviewing one as well; and I think I was certainly a winner. Every Breath She Takes is one of the most exciting romance stories/thrillers/mysteries I have read all year! And with how much I read, that is saying a lot!

Lauren Townsend is a Veterinarian. She has a small practice and lives alone with her two dogs. From what we learn, Lauren has always been a loner, has made herself so, because of what she is. Lauren sees visions that come true.

It began when she was a young girl and the trauma that affected her life because of it, as she called it ‘her freakishness’, becoming more and more aloof. During college she finally met a young man Garret, they fell in love and he asked her to marry him. It all fell apart when she shared her ‘other’ with him. Hence, the empty life and the two dogs.

Lauren has been having this new vision for a while now. Today she leaves work pretending a migraine and gets home just in time to have the tingly feeling take over. She is ‘seeing’ the murder of this pretty woman through the eyes of the killer. It is very disconcerting to watch a man's arms strangling the life out of the woman in front of her, but this last time she forces herself to try and remember the scenery. As she is in this trance like state, the killer reaches for a cigarette and she sees the matchbook cover that reads Foot Hills Guest Ranch. Lauren Googles the ranch and it is on the other side of the country, but she decides she can take a few weeks off to save a life—if she can.

We meet the owner of the ranch, Cal Taggert. He is an ex Rodeo star, a bull rider. He was used to have all the buckle bunnies at his beck and call for sex whenever he wanted, and then he got married to the beautiful and sexy head of the bunnies, Marlena. Now divorced and up to his ears in problems, he needs nothing complicated. This is a meeting of two so very different people, from two very different worlds becoming unlikely lovers, thrown into a whirlwind of lust, murder and mystery and might even end up with the L word.

Okay, Ms Wilson sure knows how to write ‘em. A sexy, handsome cowboy with baggage too much to count. A fashionista, a doctor from the city who can ride and give as much as she gets. The two are like moths to a flame, once the spark ignites they cannot stay away from each other. The other players are paraded for us to meet, ‘their baggage’ is opened one piece at a time as we learn about Lauren and Cal as they learn about each other. We follow the wonderful twists and turns of the mystery as the author drops crumbs for us, and we hope the killer can be thwarted. The scenery is outstanding, as this author gives us the pink sunsets and beautiful rolling hills and majestic mountain views…I was there, I felt it, I rode horses and ate wonderful meals in the dining room. The pictures were so vivid!

Lauren and Cal started the relationship as a fling, and each one is afraid to say it now was more. Will Lauren be afraid to bare her secret? Will Cal admit he needs her? Will they together stop the killer? Oh Norah what you have wrought? I as one reviewer can answer that…The book is sexy, full of suspense, thrilling, horrifying, and utterly spellbinding. A must read !!!

I expected to like this book because I really enjoyed Norah Wilson's, Guarding Suzannah, but I didn't know that I was going to be so wowed by it! Like her other books, the relationship takes front and center stage in the story. In this case, Lauren and Callum story felt very intimate. I enjoyed the guest ranch background and, although the suspense part of the story was mild, it didn't take anything away from the sizzling interaction between the two characters. Well done!

Lauren has spent years trying to hide her psychic abilities so she isn't considered a freak by her friends and family. She has visions of murders but in the past she has never been able to see enough detail to save the life of one of the victims. This time she has been able to pin down a location and she is determined to prevent the murder from taking place. Taking an extended holiday from her veterinary practise she travels to the Foothills Guest Ranch in search of the victim. It is there that she meets ranch owner Cal. She is attracted to Cal but when she realises who the victim in her visions is she knows he has a motive and worries he might be the killer. Cal has been hurt in the past and is determined never to put his heart on the line again. That doesn't mean he is against the idea of having a little fun with his mysterious new long term guest though. As the pair grow closer Lauren comes nearer to figuring out the killer's identity but will Cal believe her when she shares her visions with him and can she stop the killer before she ends up becoming a victim herself?

Before I start this review I think it is worth pointing out that Every Breath She Takes was previously published with the title Lauren's Eyes - I just want to stop anyone making the mistake of purchasing this book twice thinking they're getting a new story when in fact they've already read it. This was actually my first book by Norah Wilson but I really enjoyed it and I'm looking forward to reading more of her work in the future. I don't read a great deal of romantic suspense but as I'm on a real contemporary romance kick at the moment I couldn't resist this one - especially when I found out that Cal is a cowboy and ex-rodeo star! Who doesn't love a sexy cowboy?

I have to say I really enjoyed getting to know Lauren, she was a strong heroine who saw horrific visions that were bad enough to give her nightmares but that never stopped her from putting herself in danger while she tried to protect the victim. Although she had figured out who was going to be killed not knowing when the murder would occur made it very difficult for her and she had to remain constantly on her guard while trying not to raise suspicion about what she was doing. It's not like she could tell the world about her visions and expect them to believe her when she had no proof that a crime would be committed. It was also hard for her to try and figure out who the killer was when she only ever saw the visions from his point of view but she was very logical in the way she went about her investigation and I liked the fact that she trusted her instincts. Once she had ruled Cal out as a suspect she never once questioned herself or doubted him which meant the way their relationship developed was very believable.

Cal was a great guy and someone who was prepared to go above and beyond to help those around him. He even offered his protection to the ex-wife who broke his heart by cheating on him. Although Cal was the kind of guy who looked out for others he didn't really believe that he had anyone who was willing to stand up for him. He had a support network but he just didn't see it and it took Lauren pointing out how much his friends cared before he really believed it. Cal's past left him wary and suspicious of others, especially women, but I liked the way he opened up towards Lauren fairly quickly. They both started their affair expecting it to be something short term but in spite of the secrets Lauren was keeping it didn't take long for them to grow to care for each other. Cal is a great alpha hero and I really enjoyed the glimpses of his life as a rodeo star.

My main problem with the story was that it was fairly easy to figure out who the murderer was, there wasn't a very big suspect pool so apart from one main red herring (that I had discounted fairly quickly) it didn't take a genius to guess the bad guy. In spite of that I still really enjoyed the story though and the climax at the end of the book was worth waiting for. There were a few frustrating misunderstandings between Cal and Lauren right at the end but thankfully they worked things out eventually. Every Breath She Takes was a solid story and one that has left me looking forward to more from Norah Wilson, it's a book I'm happy to recommend to fans of romantic suspense.

Review and author interview posted on Kindles & Wine

Lauren is an animal lover and I love how she got to show it in Every Breath She Takes. Due to her psychic ability to see a murder she thinks will take place at the Foothills Guest Ranch in Borland, Alberta, Lauren grants herself a vacation. While she tries to determine the killer, she pretends to be a guest at the ranch. However, she is soon using her superior riding skills, demonstrating care for the horses, and dropping other subtle clues that she is more than just a guest. Even though it isn’t the premise for why Lauren is at the ranch, her being a vet and working closely with the animals is a very special secondary element to the story.

Cal Taggert, the tough and stubborn rancher, can’t seem to keep his cattle ranch afloat so he makes some extra money by adding a guest ranch to the operation. Cal has had a lot of problems in the last year which has really taken a toll on the finances, yet he is surrounded by people who are trying to help keep the business running. Cal is willing to help everyone (almost to a fault), but hates to get help himself (definitely a fault). That is where his stubbornness comes in. He doesn’t see what he means to others and what they are willing to do for him. He is a former rodeo man turned rancher and his tough interior and exterior need a little softening. That is where this book shines the most.

Cal didn’t love the guest ranch aspect of his business until Lauren showed up! Lauren and Cal both have events in their past that have led them emotionally and relationally to where they are currently at. How Norah Wilson positions each character (get your head out of the gutter, folks) to help each other see past their pain and beyond themselves is really special. Okay, so if you want to think dirty, they do get into some pretty heated positions. They have chemistry! They just need to break down each other’s barriers and enjoy it!

So what is the main premise of the book? In my opinion it is twofold: it is to save someone’s life by solving a murder before it happens, while accidentally falling for someone when you least expect it! The supporting characters in this book add to the unique ranch you will all feel like you are enjoying yourself as you read this book. The suspense is heart pounding at its climax; the romance, okay, it is heart pounding at its climax as well. ☺ All of it together makes for a GREAT read!

Favorite Quotes/Lines
“I’m angry with myself for getting tied up in knots over something that doesn’t have you tied up the same way.” ~ Cal

Whoa, Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore.

Bottom Line
What are you waiting for? Pick it up today! If you like romantic suspense or are a reader that likes to be transported to the setting (in this case “at the ranch”) it is a must read!

My Review:
I honestly and truly loved this book. Lauren is trying to prevent a murder from happening...one that she only knows about because of her visions seen through the murderers eyes before it happens. The slight clues she has lead her to a floundering ranch where they are taking in guests to help supplement the ranch's income. Cal is the owner of that ranch and a former pro rodeo bull-rider.

There is a lot of story to this book and Cal's ranch...
*there's his ex-wife who's there to hide out from a loan shark and in the meantime she's doing drugs and every cowboy she can.
*There's the relationship between Cal and his dad that is beyond bad. Cal ran away at 16 and never went back, but Dad shows up at the ranch and Cal honestly doesn't know what to do with him.
*There's the contentious relationship between Cal and his neighbor who's trying to buy him out at the same time he's buying up every other property in the area.
*There's Cal who's trying to save his ranch, although housing guests is not his idea of a good time.
*There are cattle dying from unknown causes that threaten the viability of the ranch.
*There's the contentious relationship between one of Cal's ranch hands and his neighbor, who raised the hand as his son, only to disown him completely later.

Then there is Cal's relationship with Lauren. They both go into the relationship knowing that she is only there for 3 weeks. She has her vet practice on the east coast and that isn't going to change, but things start to change between the two of them, although neither will admit it. I liked that this was a hero who's real. He's most definitely an alpha, but he's at the lowest point in his life and has a vulnerability because of it. I love that he turns to Lauren for support and that she sees what he needs. They have a truly honest relationship....which is odd to say when there are so many secrets between them, but they see the other's true person and I loved that.

I liked how strong Lauren was. What she sees and feels through her visions is horrific, but she continues to put herself in harms way to keep others safe. The ending in this book and her actions were just amazing. I couldn't read fast enough to keep up with the suspense of it all....so good! I really loved this one.

I received a complementary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Lauren Townsend has a gift of psychic ability, but unfortunately to Lauren’s mind it’s more of a curse. Seeing through the eyes of the killer doesn’t always give her enough information to save a victim; only leaving her with the memories of seeing a victim die a horrible death. This time however she has a small clue and Lauren is bound and determined to do everything in her power to save the next victim.

*** In another adrenalin rush, romantic suspense author Norah Wilson has penned another spine tingling suspense thriller, with the addition of an extremely palatable romantic love story. For the most part Ms. Wilson writes in locales she is familiar with, however, she reaches out and has her New Brunswick heroine setting out west to the Canadian Rockies and a ‘dude ranch’ where she knows the next murder will take place, if not committed already. Her psychic abilities are not completely foolproof but she will locate the victim, unfortunately, Lauren can’t just come out and say like in the movie GHOST…. ‘You in danger girl!’. No, because if she doesn’t stop the murder before it happens, Lauren knows she can’t shadow the victim for the rest of her life. The zinger that Wilson puts in place though is perfect, the victim just happens to be the ex-wife of the man Lauren is quickly falling head over heels for.

Cal Taggert’s a rugged, sexy, ex-rodeo star cowboy. Drop dead gorgeous and kind enough to be helping out his ex from loan sharks, and totally immune to what he knows are her sexual escapades. With Lauren, Cal has found a safe haven; arms and a body that seem like home, yet he knows that he can’t offer her much but what he assumes she’s looking for, a walk on the wild side vacation before she leaves for her life back East. The problem is he never thought she would be the ‘one’.

Bottom Line: EVERY BREATH SHE TAKES keeps the reader enthralled both with the romance, the outstanding fleshing out of the characters, and the suspense of what and when the murder, Lauren relives over and over will occur. Wilson keeps you on pins and needles, with an incredible tale and a blockbuster finale. Highly recommended.

I bought this book from an advertised special. I had never read the author before, however, the description of the book attracted me and I'm so glad I didn't pass this up.

From the beginning, Norah Wilson captured me with her characters and storyline. Not your average romance, there is a great deal of mystery, and the romantic love that did develop was sweet and touching, healing past hurts in both characters to ultimately make them whole again. Norah Wilson also has a great voice in her descriptive language in detailing the scenery. From the bull riding to the bedroom, I was able to see it all.

I hope to see much more from this author. If you love mystery, romance or paranormal, this book has it all and is worth the read.

3.5 RATING- I've had this on my TBR list for a while so when I noticed it was eligible to borrow through Amazon's Kindle Unlimited program, I finally decided to read it. It wasn't a favorite of mine but the writing was good and overall, I liked it. It was a bit slow for me in the beginning but the last half picked up. I would read more from this author...

I like Norah Wilson's brand of romantic suspense, and she delivers the goods again in EVERY BREATH SHE TAKES. I'm not normally enamored of cowboy heroes or rural settings, both of which feature in this novel, but after the pool table scene (I won't elaborate), I was invested and firmly on Team Cal. As other reviewers have noted, the book's villain is fairly obvious, but that really doesn't detract from the reader's journey toward the climax. And along the way, we are treated to a sexy love story between two characters who undergo some real growth, particularly the hero. Loved it!

After reading several in Norah Wilson's Protect and Serve series, I decided to try out some other novels of hers. This one is one of her earliest novels and I did like it. It flowed nicely without lagging. Lauren has a vision of a woman being murdered and decides to try to prevent the act by traveling to the location of the future crime. There she finds Cal Taggert, the owner of the guest ranch where she is staying and the ex-husband of the woman who is to be murdered.

I really liked Lauren. She was smart and used that intelligence numerous times. I thought it took a little bit of time to pick up, but was hard to put down once I got into the story. Cal was mean at times, and then Lauren would call him out on his behavior. Good.

No me jod*s.

Punto.

I really enjoyed the book, and it was well written and decently researched, but the writer is clearly from the East. Bull riders are usually on the short side. It's a matter of physics--a low center of mass. A 6'3" successful professional bull rider is only slightly more common in real life than a dragon shifter. I understand why writers like to use tall bull riders as heroes, but they definitely fall in the category of the unrealistic--to the amusement of rural Westerners.

In addition, a horse can be trained to respond to both a direct and neck rein. Most well-trained Western horses are. Watch any open, 4-H or breed show in the West and you will see the same horses ridden in both English and Western events.

Vacation -right, No strings.

This book has it ALL. Romance, drama, suspense, danger.
It has Loves scenes that are extremely steamy Hot!
Cal Taggert the cowboy, Lauren the vet, she is a strong heroine type,
he is good for her. The attraction between them was sizzling and electric.

I liked the characters in this book.
I liked the storyline too.

It will keep you turning the pages until the very end.

A great read!

*Spoilers* i liked how the plot of the story was set around Lauren's visions. It was interesting that she knew who the victim was and not the murderer because that fed into the lead up and gave that scene a nice little twist. Cal and Lauren had great chemistry and i liked that Cal went after her in the end instead of the other way around. I think the only thing that annoyed me about this story was their back and forth in regards to their feelings for each other.

The story was intriguing and I did like how it played out but I hated the H. The H was constantly whining and I just couldn't care about why the H had issues. The h was unique and I liked the way the story played out with her.

I do like the author but hope she can write H's that are not so completely negative.

for a book that has romance, mystery, suspense, and a cowboy. Look no further. This has a little bit of everything. It was super easy to love Lauren. She has a huge heart and really cares about the ones close to her. Cal is a perfect cowboy but a little too proper for my taste with Ma'am and using words like street walker and cripes. Overall, it was a sweet story

Great read

This book had me wondering what I would do if I had premonitions of someone's demise or if someone came to with premonitions of my demise. Great book, and I am happy everything worked out in the end.

Wonderfully Suspenseful

Cal never felt he was good enough. Lauren was use to hiding her abilities from those who tried to get close. The spark between them was too strong to be ignored and broke the emotional walls they hid behind.
