In the course of a meditation practice, images arise. Meditation’s clear mind state carries over into ordinary life where it informs perceptions and renders emotions more sublime. The image poems in this volume came to me as a result of the meditative state. The essays are comments that enhance the images and ground them in the world of ordinary perception. As human sentient beings, we live in two worlds—the world of pure awareness, and the world of everyday experience. Both realms are true to life and both appear the same, nondual, to our pure perceptions like two sides of a one-dimensional coin. This volume attempts the impossible, to hand out this coin, payment for a day’s vineyard labors.
