God has made each one of us different, giving us unique gifts and abilities. This resource can help you identify those in a fascinating journey of self-discovery so that you can move out confidently into the work God made you for.
This book was written by a couple who worked for many years mentoring young people as they tried to find their place in the world and in the church. It asks who we are as individuals, and looks at different important aspects of who we are.
So there are appendices to the book with questionnaires, and values choices and more - I didn't do most of these, as I'm old enough to be aware of my abilities, temperament, values and so on. I skimmed some of the text, too, which is more relevant to students or people in their twenties and thirties, particularly Christians wondering whether God wants them somewhere else.
But it's well-written, with some useful Scriptural examples as well as anecdotes from the authors' own experience. And while I didn't find anything new in this book, I thought it was a useful summary, one which I would recommend to anyone wondering if they have any gifts, or whether they are in the right place, work-wise.
