This is a simple yet profound book by Vines. Very practical and applicable to Sermon Prep and delivery. Also this book answers critical questions that any preacher/teacher would come across while delivering their sermon to their listeners. Great Read!

one clear and simplistic point Dr. Vines reminds us of is what do you want your people to take home from the message? at the conclusion of your preparation you should know what the passage says and what you want the church to know about it. make sure you have 1 cohesive thought that goes throughout the message. good book.

Jerry Vines is one of the greatest preachers I have ever heard. He gives lots of encouragement and instruction about the expository method of preaching in this very helpful book.
