This is another biography about the inventor of something that all students are very familiar with. Alexander Graham Bell was not only a famous inventor, he was also a teacher of deaf students. This book is a great example of a biography about a famous American inventor.
I liked the photographs of Bell and his family that are featured in this book. It is an informative book that is easy for students to read. It also gives good information about Bell’s work with deaf students and some other aspects of his life.
This is a great book to use with lessons about nonfiction biographies. It is easy to pick out the specific things that make it a biography. I would also use it as an example of a person who showed resolve in achieving their goals.
