*All I Fear is the second book in the All’s Fair series. This series should be read in order for better understanding of the characters and storyline. This is a dark mafia romance book please see the TW page for details.*
Abrianna Denae is a queer author living in Northern California. An English major, they have always had a passion for writing. Deciding to sit down and write one of the many stories that had plagued their mind for years was the easy part—finding the time to do it was a different story. Caffeine is their best friend, and sleep is their worst enemy. A lover of books that make the reader feel something, Abrianna tries to incorporate as much of their real-world views and feelings into their stories as they can.
If you don’t like bloody, anxious dark reads, with heavy torture, don’t read this story. But if you like it combined with the most possessive, protective men, sociopathic psychopaths who do everything for the ones they love… read it!
Roman, son of Cristian, reaches the age of nineteen, now is the time he will be trained by ruthless Tennant, Cristian’s Second, to turn him into a decent heir. Tennant will break him and make him. It’s what he does.
Hollis, the Amato organization IT man, and Tennant are lovers, partners, and kinky af. With Tennant’s ASPD it is surprising tbh. He keeps saying he can’t love, but holding Hollis tender, and providing everything he needs speaks a different language. Now they want Roman or was it the other way around?
Nothing is holy when it concerns family and loved ones, nothing!
When Hollis’ horrible past tries to get him, he has his men by his side to help and protect him. Watch them!!
Men without morals, kinky, ruthless, protective, possessive, and gosh I loved it all. Just as in book one, the story is from several different views and that’s so great. It’s a thrilling dark story, captivating, emotional, and with heavy anxious moments, all awesomely written!!
What a disappointment in comparison to book 1 and surprisingly not for the reasons I thought I wouldn’t like this. So I admittedly don’t like romances that feature polyamory. I have a jealous green heart and I can’t abide by any coupling that features more than 2 MC’s, sharing of any kind, and definitely no cheating. But I enjoyed Roman and Tennant so much during book 1 that I decided to give this a try
So imagine my surprise when I hated this not because of the poly relationship but because of everything else. The writing and the plot were really choppy. There was zero chemistry to be found anywhere, contradictory plot points abound, and once again the big bad wasn’t so bad.
Roman is an adult now (though barely, he’s only 19) , and his father decides that it’s time for him to work directly under Tennant as he continues to learn the business. Tennant has a partner, Hollis, who is a brilliant hacker with a past.
As Roman and Tennant work together ( mostly Roman being a little shit and gettin on Ten’s nerves) sexual tension “grows” and then a kiss happens. I put “grows” on quotations because it’s mostly the author telling us that it’s happening but I couldn’t really feel it. If anything it mostly just feels a little like a one sided crush from Roman.
Ten tells Hollis who is apparently very possessive of Ten, but not in this instance. This is totally okay with him. But if he wasn’t okay with it he’d kill Roman except that he doesn’t really deal with the violent part of the business and he can’t actually physically out maneuver or overpower Ten or Roman….. but yea….. he’s apparently quite deadly 🤷🏾♀️
So Hollis gives Ten permission to pursue Roman. And then later just inserts himself into the equation and just assumes Roman is gonna be down for the cause.
Roman does get on board though and is suddenly a total slut for Ten and Hollis even though he barely thought about Hollis before this but sure 👍🏾.
Now they’re all in love pretty much out of nowhere. Hollis’ past comes to bite them in the ass but it’s resolved really easily 🙄
I just didn’t buy any of it. Roman and Ten didn’t feel real, the connection between Roman and Hollis came out of left field and got really intense really quickly, Hollis’ character was all over the place…. He’s violent but not, possessive but not. Roman was actually more mature in book 1 when he was younger than he was in this book. He was a brand new character here. Other than his nail polish and skirts he was a bit unrecognizable. And Ten…… we are repeatedly told how deadly he is, and yet…… the events during the last 20% of the book happened….
I barely finished this book. And really only pushed through to have one more book for my reading goal.

Well, that was an adventure, to say the least. We are back with the Amatos, and this time going into the mind of Ten, Hollis, and Roman, and wow, do they like it rough in the best possible way. Going in, you knew you'd fear Ten, but he has nothing on Hollis his control is palpable he owns the scene and controls these two powerful men with ease. Hollis past has come to haunt him, and with the help of the Amatos and his friend H, he learns to trust and move on from his broken past. The action again is top-notch. The intimate scenes are even grittier and spicier than last book. Highly recommend if looking for high heat, high action mmm.
Wow, this book. It is filled with dark, twisty, kinky f*ckery. It was great. I was hooked immediately. Though I was slightly confused about some stuff in the beginning, like Hollis and Tennant already together for so long they had this amazing bond and connection. It had been a while since I read the first book so I had to go back and search for Hollis cause I didn’t remember him but he was obviously there, well he was kinda there since it wasn’t in person, but virtual, he was their hacker. And sometime in the 4 yrs it’s been since book 1, Hollis and Tennant got together and have been together 3 yrs. I kind of wish we could have seen their beginning, maybe a short novella? But it doesn’t take long for that confusion to disappear, it does come up about how they went from virtual hacker to being in the family (well the bare bones). Really, a dark and twisty novella about Hollis and Tennats start would be awesome if you are ever looking for ideas Abrianna Danae.
Okay back to the review. Roman is an arrogant, cocky, little thing and he constantly finds ways to rebel. His dad has “given” him to Tennant to train under him, to show him he has to move up the ranks and become the heir he is meant to be. Well, Roman likes to really push Ten’s buttons and those bits were funny. Tennant is cold, rational and calculating. The only people who get any of his warmth and emotions are those he cares about, Cristian and by extension, Carter, Roman and Hollis. He might not process emotions like non ASPD people, but he does feel and he feels deeply for Hollis and as you read about them their intense connection grips you hard. You are rooting for Hollis and Ten to get their HEA. Hollis is a brilliant computer hacker, but he’s got a troubled past he doesn’t want to talk about…but that past has caught up to him and found him. We get flashbacks of Hollis’ past. And it’s sad and heartbreaking. Hollis has been through so much. But he’s strong and brave and he embraces life and his love, Ten. And eventually, Roman.
The story has lots of dark, twists and turns. Lots of little things going on while dealing with the big issue. There are kidnappings, consensual and non-consensual. And let me tell you, the consensual ones are hot! This story is fire, and intriguing. Sucks you in and keeps you rooted to your kindle . I devoured it and can’t wait for more. The relationship that develops between Ten, Hollis and Roman was beautiful. And seeing Cristian and Carter still going strong was awesome. These characters are wonderful and so well developed. The plot moved along, didn’t ever feel like it dragged. The writing was exceptional. If you love dark and twisty, kinky fun, and some heavy topics, this book might be for you.
I really liked this second book maybe even more than the first one, once again impressed and amused by the unique kinks. I was unsure as I don’t read many MMM but I am always captivated when it's about an established couple that falls in love with a third one, and I especially liked that not only they worked well all together but each of them had his own different type of relationship with each of the others, probably fulfilling different needs which makes a lot of sense. I also really liked Roman's character development, his growth was the most evident being the youngest and it was very well written.
Wow. I needed to take a few minutes to write this review because of how fast my heart was racing.
I originally discovered Abrianna Denae through the first book, All I Want, and have been invested in reading their work ever since. When I got the email about ARCs of All I Fear being available, I immediately signed up. And let me tell you, when I read the blurb for this book, I SCREAMED. I knew this book was about Tennant and Hollis, but when I got to the part about Roman, oh my god. I was shocked and excited all in one because I've loved Roman since the first book.
I'll be honest, I was expecting Roman to be with Tennant but adding Hollis completely threw me. After reading, I can see how the three of them fit so well together. They are soulmates. I loved seeing how they fell in love with each other and find the persons that understand them down to their core. It was beautiful. As much as I love Roman, he lowkey was pissing me off a little because of the way he acted at times due to his insecurities and pride, however, I realized that it fit Roman's personality so well (and brought some awesome spicy scenes along with it) so props to Abrianna for writing a character so well that I would often forget Roman is not real and will not hear me if I scream at him about being an asshole.
In my opinion, I loved this book more than the first. There is just something about the way that Abrianna showcased trauma and how it can not only negatively affect you long after, but on how it can bring good as well, even if we don't want to admit it sometimes. I highly suggest reading the trigger warnings because the flashback scenes are no joke. Honestly, I think it was necessary to read because it helped me understand Hollis more. But that's just how I feel.
I just have to end this review with three of my favorite quotes from the book (even though there were definitely more than three)
His wanting to be the one who eventually kills me is basically an admission of undying love from him
Fuck my life. Surrounded by overprotective men who can and will murder for me, but don't know how to deal with feelings. At least not the ones I'm having for my father's psychopathic best friend.
"It doesn't matter who you were, Hollis. You're ours now, and that's all that matters."
While this book can be read as a stand alone, highly recommend reading the 1st book, All I Want, to truly get the full impact and dynamics of the characters. Tennant, Hollis, and Roman worked psychotically good together as a throuple. Their different personalities made for a dark, kinky, steamy, and perfectly balanced relationship. Who knew that "Consensual kidnapping" were so much fun and hot 🔥. Their unique bond and love for each other was pure and strong, full acceptance of each other and communication. Hollis and Tennant made sure Roman knew what he was getting into and understood their rules, and the consequences if he broke them. And yes, I'm still upset of the one time when Roman decided to be a rebel. It didn't have to be that way 😭 (no spoilers) And I gotta say that this trio took me by surprise, thought I kinda knew them from the 1st book but oh boy, was I wrong. The author took them to another level and made me love them even more. They still had so much more to reveal, especially Hollis. Didn't think he was a "touch what's mine, and you're done" possessive. Expected it from Tennant and Roman but not Hollis for some reason, lol. He proved to be able to hold his own and more. But I guess you need to in order to date a psychotic and a mafia prince with no mercy. There was also suspense and action, which had me on edge from beginning to end, when Hollis's past finds him. His story was not easy to read, broke my heart and made me cry, so glad he had Tennant and Roman by his side. Now I really need the next book!!
Set four years after book one, Roman is now nineteen and his dads have handed him over to sociopath Tennant to train in his burgeoning role as heir to the Amato crime family. Everything about Tennant winds him up, but one impulsive kiss lands him in hot water. Meanwhile, Tennant's partner Hollis - who he's currently holding hostage - has ghosts from his past turn up. This is a polycule book with lots of heat, abduction for fun, blood, violence and family - Inc found. They each have trauma to deal with and that is handled well in the novel. The humour is spot on as always and I suspect we'll shortly have Leandro's story to enjoy. Great fun.
I am loving this series!! Roman is heir to the Amato family and a brat. He is being trained by Tennant, the second in command to the Amato family, to take over. Hollis and Tennant has an established relationship already, but Hollis sees the connection between Roman and Tennant. He invites Roman to be their third and just let’s say, let the kinkiness begin. The drama is high and intense. I can’t wait for the next book of the series!
Wow. Just wow. I was waiting on this book and it didn’t disappoint. Hollis and Tennant are already in a relationship and when he was tasked to train Roman, that is when things become interesting. Love the dynamics between them and looking forward to more. Great world building, high heart and chemistry.
WOW...... Absolutely loving this series it's dark, dangerous and deadly protect each other touch them and die Tennant, Hollis and Roman together are amazing the chemistry is red hot and sexy recommend so much.
Omg yes this was so good. I honestly didn't know what to expect when I knew this book was going to be MMM. Tennant, Hollis and Roman together ended up being to good together.
So let me get this straight Hollis was abused as a child, but he can k!ll an innocent person just for touching their pet? And I’m supposed to feel sorry for him? Meanwhile, Roman, the brat who never listens, disobeys as usual, but no innocent people have to suffer. How did Hollis even get involved? One minute, he’s telling Ten to go after Roman, and the next boom he inserts himself, and suddenly Roman is fine with it? 😭😭 Roman felt way more mature in book one, but here? It’s like he’s a completely different person. And where was the tension between him and Ten? I really thought this would be as good as book one, but I played myself. I love poly relationships, but this was a mess.
Y’all, we asked for it and Abrianna delivered (BIG TIME!!). If you think you know Tennant then guess again. Grab a cold drink, tissues, pillows and a blanket because this is one ride that once you get on you won’t be getting off.
** I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, recommend reading All I Want: All’s Fair book one to understand these characters better. Enjoy y’all!! 🖤🔥🩸🔥🖤
Though this is not always true, the found-family nature of some series means that the books are so interconnected that they cannot stand alone. While I think this novel could be read and enjoyed without the broader context of the first in the series, I’m glad that I did. Much of the emotional impact of the characters in this story coming together would have been lost without the greater arc of the connections revealed and developed earlier, even though a few years have passed between books.
Those years are necessary for Roman to finish growing into adulthood, for more than one reason. He’s a strong and unique character in both books, but it was nice to see him go from plot device to fully actualized hero here. I’m privileged to know from conversations with the author that he was never supposed to be a hero of this book, but sometimes characters have other ideas. Even with that insight, I can’t imagine any other outcome than the polyam relationship that develops over the course of this book. From the first moment that Tennant takes over Roman’s training, it is easy to see where Roman will flip the script on the other man. I enjoyed the ride thoroughly.
Except note that I said polyam relationship, because the undeniable connection between Roman and Tennant may have led to the initial sparks in this story, but Hollis’s presence as Tennant’s partner is what creates the true inferno. Tennant’s mental/emotional capacity means that he and Hollis don’t have a traditional relationship to begin with, and the moments between them definitely place this book solidly in the “dark romance” category even without the mafia setting of this series. Hollis may be the “normal” one, but his ability to match Tennant in the darker side of mental kink makes him just as fascinating. These men don’t need Roman to complete them, but the way Roman slots into place brings up some interesting nature vs. nurture questions about all three men.
Hollis’s backstory provides a good framework for the external plot because we essentially got Roman’s backstory in the previous book, and for all his complexities as a character, Tennant is actually not that complicated (not that I wouldn’t love a glimpse into the early evolution of his friendship with Roman’s father). I appreciated that while Roman is physically and intellectually capable of the life his father has prepared him for, his emotional reactions to events are appropriate to his age and experience. Tennant and Hollis might be more mature and methodical about the situation, but Denae imbues enough suspense into the action to genuinely make me fear for the final shape of this trio’s happily ever after.
Some elements of this series won’t be for all readers, and this is a case in which I do encourage checking the content warnings. However, while the mafia world isn’t a huge draw for me, everything else about the characters Denae creates to inhabit this one fascinates me as a reader drawn to nontraditional romance. They might all exist on the darker side of the spectrum, but the love this cast of characters crafts (whether romantic, familial, or platonic) is worth wading through the bloodshed.
Disclaimer: I received a digital review copy of this book from the author.
"Of course, Tesoror. Who else would love a monster?"
Cristian has decided it is time for Roman to finish his training. Someday he will take over as head of the family and he will need to have the respect of his men. Who better to train him than Tennant? His antisocial psychopathic tendencies aside he is the best Not the safest but...
"Never have I ever felt more like prey before. It's a wonderful and freeing thing." I will play their game but I will not let them strip me of my identity. Roman's famous last thought as he wakes up tied to a metal table
Roman is all kinds of stubborn when it comes to Ten. He can't help pushing his buttons. Aware he is playing with his life but that just seems to increase the temptation. He can't deny his desire for Ten.
Ten is at war with himself. He knows he can't kill the little ch it , but oh the temptation to take him to the edge of his life. To witness that fire that burns in the brat's eyes. It feeds his darkness.
Then there is Hollis who is the literal light in both their lives When his past comes back to haunt him and dims his brightness Ten and Roman stand at his side willing to do anything to protect what is theirs
I am so happy to be back with the Amatos' The no apologizes for who I am characters The crimson rivers that flood the pages - all kinds of warnings there The over-possessive partners who take primal to a whole new level The bedroom play - Holy Burning Pyres of Passion *fanning myself* The solid storyline that pulled me in and kept me engaged Yes, beyond the blood and violence and battle of wills, we have Roman who is fighting to find himself; to accept that it is okay to want someone else to take the reigns behind closed doors. Tennant, who is battling with the fact these two men make him feel - like that is even possible and Hollis, dear sweet Hollis, who is fighting a past that still haunts him It was great to be back with the family.
This has all the trigg ers and then some - so if you don't play in the deep end of the dark pool on a regular basis this may not be for you There are no apologizes within these pages
Another day, another dark romance series (more mobsters). This one is Abrianna Denae's All's Fair series. The second novel is "All I Fear."

This series is intense. But somehow, through all of the fucked-up kinks (not kink shaming), its stlil also sooooo incredibly fluffy and sweet.
None of these men had a good childhood. Arguably, many of them don't have a great adulthood. But together, they've building a happy life filled with love and lust and possession and protection so deep, not many people will ever truly experience it.
Trigger Warnings: sexual assault, human trafficking, violence, torture, drugging, fear play/knife play/blood play/breath play, suicidal ideation and intention, kidnapping, mention of child abuse, and more
There is never a dull day in the Amato family. All I fear delivers a fresh helping of madness in an unforgettable way. The Amato's heir extraordinaire, Roman, is all grown up - though he looks like a doll, acts like a brat, revels in the feel of exquisite lingerie caressing his skin, and defends his deadly daring style on all costs, he has perfected the art to hide his femme side when needed and grueling training has turned him into a fierce predator and lethal weapon. It turns out there's one more test he must endure, and it sets him on the path to an inevitable confrontation with his father's second in command, Tennant. Ohhh, what a clash it was! Roman hissing and showing claws like a wild cat and Tennant patiently bulldozing through his defenses - it was a real delight to read. The attraction Roman harbors for his unhinged, unpredictable and fiercely devoted to the Amatos, mentor literally explodes and turns into an unstoppable inferno. But Tennant is already taken, so the question is whether Roman will be able to handle both men. Possessiveness and obsession reach a whole new level here. Tennant, Roman and Hollis are one of the most deranged triads I have read about but endearing in somehow disturbing and "omg, are they for real?" kind of way. When you read their favourite bucket of kinks, you will really understand what I am talking about. And while the chemistry and the strong connection between Tennant and Roman are undeniable and visible from the start, Roman and Hollis had to work in that direction. But no matter Roman's internal insecurities and doubts about his position with an established couple, when Holis' past come knocking, the three of them show an united front in eliminating the threat. The taste of imminent danger and the challenge to survive, solidified the bond between Holis and Roman as well. It's a story written in blood where loyalties are always shifting, weaknesses exploited, only those who keep improving and playing it 1 step ahead wisely survive, mistakes are often fatal and family is of utmost importance!
This is the second book in this dark mafia series and follows All I Want. In this book we have Tennant who is Cristian Amato’s BF and also Second in command, Hollis who is a hacker and also Tennant's lover, and Roman, who is Cristian's 19 yr old son. Tennant is in charge of training Roman, to take over from Cristian one day but Roman is stubborn, has a past and doesn't want to lose who he is in the process of becoming who they need him to be as heir to the Amato family. He enjoys wearing feminine clothes, painting his nails, and can be a bit rebellious even though Tennant tries to break him time and again. There's a thin line between love and hate and soon Roman finds himself turned on by Tennant whenever he's rough with him or pushes him too far. Hollis is a survivor of child trafficking and although he's loved and hiding in a safe and better place now, he still has nightmares of his past that terrifies him. He has a softer side that speaks to Roman’s soul. He hasn’t shared all of his past with his lovers but they will need to fight and protect him when his past catches up with him. Tennant and Hollis are both very possessive, dominant, dark and kinky. Only they know how to love each other as they need to be loved and accepted in their weird ways. Roman finds himself pulled into their web, trusting them to give him what he needs for the first time. The three men are so hot when they come together and though they are so different and had be holding my breath at times, they are so well suited for each other. There is a lot going on in the book at all times so you need to pay attention to the different characters. It was well written and pulled me in wanting to get to know the characters more and find out just how dark they could be. I will suggest reading the trigger warnings as some scenes were intense at times. Even though it was an emotional roller coaster at times if you like dark, gory at times, mm mafia, then you will definitely enjoy reading this.
Tennant Mason is the Amato Family’s Second in Command. He is calculating and lethal plus he has an antisocial personality disorder which makes him a perfect weapon. Hollis Maddigan is in hiding and has used his impressive hacking abilities to run from his past. Roman Amato is the family heir and his whole life he has been in training to take over from his father. The next stage of his training is about to start with Tennant but the tension between them may produce a surprise that neither expected. Tennant and Hollis are a package deal and can give Roman everything he’s always wanted, but never trusted enough to search for. ** Please read the trigger warnings.
This was a dark story with Tennant and Hollis having a very strange relationship and their sexual proclivities are bizarre but they are both consensual adults. In their ways, they love each other and have an established relationship. Roman and Tennant had sexual tension between them and I did find the acceptance between Hollis of that initially very confusing although over time they all came to love each other. The initial confrontation between the three men with Roman's fathers about their relationship was eye-opening. This was very emotional at times and helped to understand Hollis and why he was the way he was. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content and many dark kinks.
All I Fear is book 2 of the All's Fair series. This is a dark mafia poly romance that will have you on edge for the entire book. The levels of darkness are vast be mindful of TW if needed. We have behind the scenes guys, feelings without mercy or care guys, and psychotic guys. Its kind of a smorgasbord of men 😋🥵😋
Tennet is the psychotic (antisocial peronality disorder) second in command to the Boss of the Amato Family, who is also his best friend. Tennet is some serious fun rolled into a scary package. DO NOT cross him!!! 😳🫣
Hollis is a hacker genius, with feelings aplenty and "don't touch what's mine or I'll unalive you real quick" tendancies. He is in a k!nky af relationship with Tennet. Little dub con for the 🌶️ win
Roman is son and heir to the Amato Family. He is young still, in college, but has been training for years to assume his role. His next training will be at the hands of Tennet. And Tennet has some serious rules. Cough cough *Fingernail Polish* cough cough. After working closely with Tennet, Roman is starting to have some feelings toward his mentor. After a basic hate kiss, Tennet is a little confused and a lot worried for Roman. Hollis is going to go after Roman, he just knows it, but he also knows he can't keep secrets from his lover.
Hollis sees what Tennet doesn't and after some communication, they invite Roman into their relationship. The two take owndership of Roman but Roman isn't sure how he feels about being owned. He's already been kidnapped and has worked hard to just be himself. So, like all young and dumb he makes a fatal mistake. For us as readers and lovers of dark romance his mistake is a lot of fun and gruesome to watch play out.
I really enjoyed the storyline, some of the book was very wordy and made it drag in those parts. But, with an interesting storyline overall, you want to finish and find out how these three acomplish their hea, especially for Hollis.
I love reading a series that is connected since the characters that you love are still there. You fall in love with Roman as a teen in the first book and get to see him an action here. Well, more so here. I will say I was shocked that Tennant, and ofcourse Hollis, was who the author decided to pair Roman with. (I was thinking Leandro or even Enzo for some reason) Tennant basically raised Roman from infancy, was another parent for him. So it wasn’t expected to have them together. Took me a while to get my head around it. Another part that stayed with me is that the main characters kill an innocent. (The guy is only in the book momentarily and for a few pages) They even commented on how the guy was “sweet” and cared about whether Roman was ok or not. It wasn’t like the common scenario of a jock who is a terrible person, getting their comeuppance. So that part actually made me sad when they tortured and killed him in a really painful way. I completely understand this is to show us the type of world the characters live in and still rated this book as 5. I’m still enjoying the series, for sure. I’ll finish All’ Fair, The Amato Family, then move on the the Vendetta series so I can then start on Crimson Bond series. That is how it was recommended to be to read. Hope that helps if ever needed.

I don’t know where to start on a review of this book that can state strongly enough how much I love this series. All I Want needs to be read first to understand the characters. This is Tennant’s story and what a story it turns out to be. Tennant is Christian’s second in command and long time bff. Tennant has been close to Christian through so much and has watched Roman, Christian’s son, since he was a baby and as he has grown up. As Christian’s heir, Roman is ready for the training from Tennant. Roman, a free spirit, doesn’t follow directions well. He and Tennant clash until they don’t. Tennant, already in a relationship with Hollis, has worries about his feelings for Roman but Hollis is able to put things in prospective for Tennant. This also complicates things with Christian. There is also the mystery that is attached to Hollis and that is heartbreaking. Its scary to face the fact these things do happen. There is plenty of action to this story. The reader needs to pay attention to the author’s trigger warnings because this is a very good dark story. I would give this more than five stars if I could.
After reading book one* in this series, All I Want, I went into this one knowing a bit more about just how dark the story would be. I actually don't think this one was quite as dark or perhaps the shock of what book one contained had me a bit desensitized to the torture and other dark things contained in this story.
The writing was once again excellent. I didn't have to pause my reading quite as often as I did with book one; again, it may be that I'd become a bit desensitized. While this was a dark, dark story it was also romantic.
Tennant is the second in command of the Amato mafia family and he has particular "talents" that make him perfect for the job. While he would never admit it, he has a romantic side and he will do anything to protect his partner, Hollis. When his attraction to his boss's son, Roman, proves too much to resist, Hollis much to both of their surprise, welcomes Roman into their relationship.
Abrianna Denae sure put these men through the wringer but they came out intact and I'm ready to move on to the final book, All I Survive.
Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Nothing shows love like a good ole kidnapping! With those within sanity is not an issue, after all that type of thing is just so overrated anyhow. Roman maybe Cristian's heir but right now he is in the hands of crazed sociological psycho..After all Tennant idea of of good time is a surprise kidnapping. Roman is a force to be reckoned with all dangerous and thrilling rolled in one compacted body. Hollis turn-a-bout is all fair insanity and love, after all where Tennant thrives. (Roman just about had a manic panic on that plane) a kiss had leads Hollis to make a connection that Roman was unwilling to face fully. A blood vessels is going to burst on Cristian once he learns the true stunt of training Roman is actually undertaking. About to get emotional over afew fully functional socio-psychos ! Hollis nightmare resurfacing is about to learn the hard way that when it comes to family..only family can hurt family. P.S. Who is next, Because this series of twisted love hits all the needs!
There is a trigger warning missing: killing of innocents.
Killing an innocent man for the purpose of teaching someone a lesson, and for that person (Roman) to not only be okay with it, but to get off on it, is repulsive as hell.
Yet screwing next to his corpse is too much for this "rebel" who only feels something like regret for a hot second before he gets his "punishment" in form of fucking.
I liked the first book, and I liked this one too. I liked their dynamic and was rooting for Hollis and hoping ,they get their hands on his former tormentor and those, who betrayed him. After Brandon's murder, I wish for the exact opposite.
Enduring something as horrible as Hollis and nonetheless being able to eviscerate someone, whose sole mistake was showing interest in your "pet" , only to make a point, makes you a monster like those who sold, bought and abused you.
All compassion and empathy for Hollis is gone. I wish nothing but the worst for all three.
Roman is the brat prince, heir apparent to the Amato crime family. It's time for some intense training on his rise to the top. The best man for the job is Tenant or Ten, his father's right hand man. He's also a terrifying sociopath who has no time for games, unless he's initiating them. As they work together there are sparks between them but Ten won't act on it. His partner and equally terrifying sociopath Hollis might have a not very nice reaction. Of course Ten immediately informs Hollis of this development but instead of anger, Hollis is instead interested and sees something neither Ten or Roman do: how well all three would work together. Their developing relationship is based on some very hardcore kinks which they thoroughly explore and it was page meltingly hot. There's also fast paced action, danger and drama as Hollis's past finally catches up to him and his men have to literally eage war in order to save him.
