My Grandfather wrote this book.

My grandfather suggested I read this book, and as an outdoor enthusiast and adventurer I enjoyed the first hand tales of a trapper struggling to make his way. Quite the life Dick lived and an amazing time period to have experienced. I recommend this to anyone that has a true outdoor passion.

A very well worn and well read book. No longer in print..hard to find. We picked the book up many years ago as a library 'discard'.
Excellent black and white photos..written by a man that lived, loved and flew all over Canada's north.
