You can read Zenisms in 15 minutes, but I wouldn't recommend it. I read it over the course of a year, a page or two at a time in the waiting room before a massage. Then, as I waited for the massage to begin, I'd reflect on the koan, cartoon, or story told. Not every page of the book was really satisfying. But then again, not every massage was either.

This book makes me laugh and think at the same time. it has realist truth and meaning beneath the jokes and storys.
