Knowing Beebe's unlawful history regarding these birds poisons the well on this book for me. Every falconer I know owns it, setting there, collecting dust on their shelves amongst the many similar volumes featuring twisting raptors and contorted prey on their covers. I just can't get past the very provable lies. Frustrating that the falconry community never ousted this man for his deeds, but rather turned a blind eye. I borrowed it, and unlike my peers it will not grace my walls.
This is an excellent reference for a falconry and hawking. This is not really a book to read through like a story, but a reference that you keep and refer to for information.
