Being a Christian is not just about future salvation and a personal relationship with Jesus. In this enthralling book Chick Yuill explores how followers of Jesus can also grow in the community of believers while constructively engaging with the culture of our times.
Packed with stories and illustrations, this book explores how Christians can live life to the best.
A mixed bag. This is a call to discipleship, and an urgent one. At times that's challenging and insightful, at others (the section on culture) it's quite surface level and aimless. Good as it is, it's hard to shake the feeling that this is just another book when what we need is action.
It was a good book although written from a distinctively British viewpoint. I was however surprised by some of Yuill's statements regarding the practice of the sacraments. As a Salvationist who does not practice the sacraments.
