This book was awesome.
I have already re-read this book many times and each time I read it I learn, and retain something new. I love being able to pick any page and learn about a new topic or two.
Even though this isn’t a large book; more like a small encyclopedia, it is overflowing with interesting information and amazing photographs and graphics. If I am ever looking for a new subject to learn about I pick this book up and just flick through it until something catches my eye.
One of the things that surprised me about this book was that the information is well presented and easy to read. Often I have found books like this to be heavy on data and facts which can make them a little boring but the information that features in this book is enough to inform a reader without being stiff and academic in any way.
Dr James Mackay has done a great job with this book. I can easily see this book being used as a starting point for research or a place to expand your knowledge of World History and Historic Events. This is one of those books that I am glad I have on my bookshelf as I pick it up often and don’t see that stopping anytime soon.
World Facts by Dr James Mackay is a must-have for all bookshelves.
