From the moment Stacie Brannigan discovered her great-grandmother's diary, she knew her life would never be the same. Haunted by visions of long ago, Stacie suddenly found herself drawn back in time to nineteenth-century Texas. There, on the rugged plains, she was reborn as a daring frontierswoman and surrendered -- body and soul -- to a handsome stranger whose forbidden caresses ignited a passion she'd never known.
Her name was Anastasia Wysse, a headstrong Swedish beauty who'd settled in Texas in the 1870s. He was Joseph Muldoon, a noble half-breed who could never be hers. Star-crossed lovers, they would risk their lives and defy destiny for a love that would burn.. For All Time.
I am dancing on sunshine that you are visiting my little part of Parris's paradise here on Goodreads.
I write for the reckless at heart Not surprisingly, I identify with my novels' characters, both the protagonists AND antagonists. I suffer with their angsts and bewilderments and rejoice in their joys and triumphs.
And I believe that if we heroically hold fast to our own vision for ourselves in our journey’s confrontations and challenges, Life WILL surely manifest our dreams and goals and visions, as it does for my characters in my novels.

This book was pretty good. Considering all of the characters were just so out of touch with reality. Things happened that any rational person would never let pass. The main character, Anastasia / Stacie , was very wushu washy. At the prospect if her man, Joseph, she gave up on going back to her kids. Not that Joseph wasn't hot as hell. Still he abandons her and she marries the next guy less than two months later. Really??? And the new husband accepts that she still loves the one that left her. Yeah just a bit far fetched for me. But to be all fair, this is the first tame romance novel I've read in a very long time. All in all it was a good read.
Never a dull moment in this very well written Historical Romance. Mysterious events follow Stacie after being thrown back in time. Follow along as she coupes with being in the body of her great, great grandmother while trying to find a way back to her time.
Parris Afton Bonds never fails to amaze me with her imaginative storylines, characters and in-depth historical research. This book is deeply romantic, spanning time, space, race, culture and social norms of the 1870's US. Her descriptive prose and spiritualism weave a story of starcrossed lovers from different eras...from modern day 1990's Stacie is literally shot back into the 19th century, awakened by the "breath of life" given by Joseph. Now I've never been a fan of the time travel stories...I know I'm in the minority here, but it just seemed a little silly. After reading this book, I admit I could not put it down ... except to enjoy a Thanksgiving meal with family.... until finished. I almost wish there was a sequel. The timeless love described here is a living thing. I always love reading Parris's books as she manages to write her plots around historical events, many that are not well known of US history. So here you get a beautiful love story as well as a history lesson. I highly recommend to historical romance novel readers, firstly...and then just anyone who enjoys a good romance.
For All Time by Parris Afton Bonds is a great old fashioned historical romance set primarily during the 1870's in Texas. The story centers around 40-something Stacy who has lived a life without ever being in love. She is shot during a cavalry reenactment and, at the moment she is shot, she time-travels back into her grandmother's 20-year old body when her grandmother was shot during an Indian raid. Stacy is rescued by a tall dark and handsome halfbreed and, in true historical romance fashion, they fall in love. Inevitably she is torn between staying with the love of her life and wanting to return to her time and her two children.
I listened to the Audible version of this book narrated by Julie S. Halpern who did a great job. She had different voices for each character, both male and female. She also portrayed Stacy's yearning and emotional conflict realistically. Even though I received a copy of this audio in exchange for an honest review, I really enjoyed listening to it!
I loved this book. The characters were interesting, and the premise of the book was excellent. The Author drew you into the story and kept you interested! Highly recommend this book for a quiet fireside read on a dark, stormy night.
I do not usually read romance stories. I find them just copies of each other you know boy meets girl. boy loses girl etc etc etc. But this has me up half the night reading. Heck I think I feel in love with Joseph. What women wouldn't with the way the author described him. LOL Good story one that I enjoyed a lot.
Satisfying time-travel romance story where the heroine is transported back to life 100 years ago at a Texas cavalry fort. She is torn between wanting to return to her time...and her two children, she meets her great grandfather, who falls in love with her. Besides that, she meets an Irish-Indian halfbreed with whom she falls in love.
An interesting idea for a book which did not play out well and had terrible narration.Julie S.Halpern gives a lackluster reading. During a reenactment a woman is shot and sent back in time to live her Grandmothers life. This audiobook was provided to me at no cost for a fair and honest review
