I was glad to learn about this relatively new book by Thomas Groome, since as a Christian educator I had relied on his earlier book, Christian Religious Education. Although some of Groome's new book is written specifically for Catholic schools, I found his "life to faith to life" model very helpful. It is something I will be able to put into practice in my teaching.

Groome clearly knows his material, but although this book purports to be written for parents and educators raising children in the Christian faith, I think it is dense for most lay people. 2 or 3 chapters are particularly relevant to parents; Groome mostly reminds us that Jesus and the way he lived his life are truly at the heart of Christianity.
