Alison Uttley (17 December 1884 – 7 May 1976), née Alice Jane Taylor, was a prolific British writer of over 100 books. She is now best known for her children's series about Little Grey Rabbit, and Sam Pig.
"I haven't got a coat, and I haven't got a shoe, I haven't got a penny, and I haven't got a sou. I don't care a jot, I've got my cooking-pot, And the whole wide world is mine to wander through."
Such a delightful and innocent little story. The children loved the illustrations and the quirky characters and they were very satisfied with the ending.
Beautiful old fashioned tale of the little grey rabbit when she meets a gypsy traveling hedgehog. A sweet story follows although people should beware that Hare and the hedgehog do enjoy smoking a pipe! Nice neat little pictures.
