有別於新修版《天龍八部》在諸多情節上大幅度改寫、甚而重新提供另一種結局，這次修訂《笑傲江湖》，可算較多完整保留了二版的原貌，只在行文與橋段的漏洞上，細心雕琢、修弭補縫，堪稱最符合金迷期待的修訂版！ 雲南五毒教的「轉血大法」，就醫學觀點上是否可行？令狐沖背對著敵人，如何施展「獨孤九劍」？令狐沖和盈盈對修練《葵花寶典》須「自宮」一事，何以得了暫時性失憶症？思過崖石洞一役後，五嶽劍派又何去何從？……於此種種，作者巧筆一揮，新版中都有了合理的解決。 此外，作者仍不忘增添新意，於這部小說裡兩個最重要物件：〈笑傲江湖之曲〉和「吸星大法」，都有過千字的增寫。前者補述了〈廣陵散〉聶政刺韓王、聶姊收弟屍的緣由，大增此曲的「俠士之氣」；後者則透過任我行之口，對所謂邪功妖法提出質疑，點出「武功本身無所謂好壞，重要的是施用者的心態」這一武學哲理。 金庸曾在〈後記〉中，對令狐沖與盈盈的愛情下了註腳：「盈盈的愛情得到圓滿，令狐沖的自由卻又被鎖住了。」新修版中，金庸補寫了一段令狐沖的心境，而箇中意味，就待讀者自行體會了。

看過這本書後，我認為這本書比我平時自己看的中文書的字深奧很多， 所以每當我遇到深奧的內容我都需要用詞典去解決 , 但書的內容非常有趣及非常豐富

Fast paced, love the politicking parts. The lead has matured a bit. Fun to read! Can’t wait to start the final book of the story.
