I write the Untwisting Scriptures series of books for those who have experienced spiritual abuse that includes the twisting of Scriptures.

Before writing for adults, I wrote nonfiction for children and young people--biographies of great Christians, true stories of "hidden heroes" in various countries, and two devotional books for children.

I just finished reading this to my first grade classroom. George Mueller was a man that loved God and was a faithful prayer warrior. He worked with orphans in England. This book follows his life from childhood up until his death at 92 years. It’s a faith boosting book and there are many stories through out that tell of how God worked in miraculous ways.

This is a reread for me, but I enjoyed reading this aloud to my kids this time. They couldn't wait to find out what happened to George and then the orphans that he ministered to throughout his lifetime. A legacy worth learning from!

What a great book! This is a biography for younger children (I read it to my 8 year old daughter) that describes the life of George Mueller. He left quite an impact on England in the 1800's having established orphanages where there were none, and supporting missionary causes during his 90 some years of life. He was also a preacher and traveled to 40+ countries encouraging others to also have the passionate, trusting faith he had in his own life that resulted in the success of these numerous orphanages. I had never heard of this man before reading this, but I see now he truly is one to be known. He changed the lives of thousands of children, and in turn thousands of families. I was really excited to learn of his testimony and pass his words of wisdom on to my own kids.
