Really nice tribute by Bo Kimble to his best friend. It's informative. It's loving. It never makes Hank Gathers out to be better than he was for the sake of writing a book. It just has the perfect tone for its intent. And I found some of the commentary on staying in versus leaving the inner city to be quite interesting.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. It is a true story and it really caught my attention. I had no idea who Hank Gathers was before I read the book. Noe i know he is a real icon in sports history.

Hank Gathers was one of my favorites growing up, his death and Jerome Brown's death are two moments I'll never forget. Great to get more of his story.
