300 pages of lucid commentary on the Canadian education system in 1952. Hilda‘s predictions for the most part came true.

And I believe her recommendations on how to correct the issue are probably still true today. That is for teacher’s colleges to forget in a large part the techniques of teaching and to focus on forming
scholars who will love the material and the children they will teach.

And to abandon the humanist morality which cannot provide a societal foundation (see Unspeakable Ethics, Unnatural Law by Arthur Leff in the 1979 Volume of the Duke Law Review). A new moral basis must be chosen, and perhaps the moral basis on which Canadian law is based and has shaped our cultural heritage for 2000 years. Namely Christianity.
