She has one final wish before she puts a For Sale sign in front of the only home she’s ever known, but can her family make her dream come true?
Margaret Dane Clayton has spent her entire life at the Dane Crown Inn, the beautiful resort located in the quiet beachside town of Emerald Bay. But the inn once hailed as the “gem of Florida’s Treasure Coast” is showing its age, much like its fiercely independent owner. Margaret swears she’ll keep the doors of the inn open forever … until an accident forces her to accept the fact that she can no longer cater to guests on her own. After reaching the most difficult decision of her life, Margaret asks her daughter and nieces to grant her one final wish before she places the property on the market. But will these five women put their busy lives on hold to grant it?
One by one, each of the cousins arrives in Emerald Bay with armloads of excuses and far too much baggage. But when the town’s grumpy—yet oh, so handsome—mayor threatens to close the inn for good, the women agree to give the resort the overhaul it desperately needs. Working with a bank account that’s far too small and facing one crisis after another, Margaret’s daughter and her nieces race to fulfill her final wish. Only one question Can this fractured family set aside their differences long enough to restore the inn … and rebuild the closeness they once treasured?
The Emerald Bay Series
After a lifetime of running the finest inn in Emerald Bay, Margaret Clayton has to make a decision … sell the Dane Crown Inn to a stranger or put her hopes for the future in her family’s hands. For most people, the choice would be simple. But nothing about her family is simple … especially not with her daughter and four nieces whose help Margaret needs now more than ever.
The five cousins know the inn as well as Margaret does. As young girls and teenagers, they spent every summer keeping the cottages and suites spotless, and enjoying the gorgeous beach as a tight knit family. Thirty years later, though, these five women have complicated, important, distant, and utterly packed lives. The last thing any of them can do is drop everything and save the inn. But, when it comes to family, the last thing is sometimes the only thing.
As the once-close cousins come together on the glorious shores of Florida’s Treasure Coast, they learn that some things never change, but others can never be the same. And the only thing that matters is family which, like the Dane Crown Inn, is forever.

Leigh Duncan is an Amazon best-selling author and a National Readers' Choice Award winner, the author of more than two dozen novels, novellas and short stories. However, the biggest thrill of her career--so far!--came when she saw her book, Journey Back to Christmas, featured on the Home and Family Show after Hallmark Publishing chose Journey to introduce its new line of romance novels. Her newest Hallmark Publishing release, A Simple Wedding, and her upcoming A Cottage Wedding (6/2/20) are the first of several books in Leigh's Heart's Landing series. These sweet, contemporary romances take place in a small town known as America's Top Wedding Destination, and each book centers on one couple who fall in love in Heart's Landing.
Wow, Duncan has done it again. This series is going to be fantastic. Family is the best part of life so Duncan has given us quite a family in treasure Coast Homecoming. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.
For the first half of the book we meet a litany of characters. The characters, with the exception of Belle, all seem lovely and have interesting back stories. I was confused that we were introduced to Jen and then never heard from her again in the book. I understand that this is the intro to a new series but there was no hook to get me motivated for the next one. No love interests and no real stake in the characters. Not the review I had hoped to leave but I am sure the second book will get the story rolling.
Treasure Coast Homecoming begins the Emerald Bay series with a generational love story. Not a romance in the strictest definition of the word, but a love story nonetheless as one stubborn older family member holds onto the dream of bringing her beloved Inn back to life once again. It’s not going to be an easy task, with her daughter and nieces scattered near and far, but family tends to its own… and that’s what it will take to make Margaret’s final dream come true; her family.
I enjoyed this introductory novel to the series very much. There is world-building here; I believe there has to be with a series that looks to contain individual books which will highlight each of the women’s personal journey back home in Emerald Bay, but also how each is affected by the other women’s decisions as well. I see the possibility of romance for at least one woman, and perhaps more will be unveiled in time.
At the heart, Treasure Coast Homecoming is a story about family, how what we once dreamed could be will so often turn out to be something so far different that we don’t even recognize the dream anymore. Amy, Kimberly, Diane, Belle …and of course, the family matriarch, Margaret will all have their hands filled in fulfilling this final wish. Each woman has different life issues and tons of baggage from their own life to deal with running the gambit from careers, failing marriages, rebellious children, and facing realities that none truly want to deal with right now. But for the woman who has opened her arms, her home, and most importantly, her heart to them all in times of need and every day in between these women will do the impossible for the stubborn woman they all love… but none of it is going to be exactly easy.
If you get wrapped up in a family saga then this is an introduction to the Emerald Bay series that you’d want to pick up. I see so many possibilities for these women, and I’m anxious to get started on the rest of this series.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the author or author’s team via Booksprout, and I sincerely thank them for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
Margaret the 80 yr old who has ran Dune Crown Inn in Emerald Bay Florida for over 50 yrs.it had been passed down for generations. Amy works in EB in a Bakery she started, she delivers goods to her aunts every morning. She finds her Aunt on the floor she couldn’t get up. Amy has to decide weather to tell the others she fall. So she tells her brother Scott. Scott is a lawyer in a town about 30 miles from EB. He’s pushing for her to sale the Inn. Amy makes the call to the other cousin and daughter. They are all on the phone Bellem Margaret’s daughter is a pop star 30 yrs back trying for a come back. Very busy. Diane has to kids one still home and husband runs a dental office she just got promoted in a CPA firm. It’s the crunch time in tax season. Kimberly is working temp work, has 2 kids but they are gone. So they agree that Kim should go check the Inn for safety issues. She rides the bus to town and meets the mayor. When she get to the inn she sees how much work needs to be to be done. She has lunch with Amy, then go home Margaret goes to check out the cabins and sees how bad thing are and she falls. Bad. The ambulance come takes her to hospital. She break arm and wrist. So they all come to help take care of Aunt Margaret. She want one last reunion and she doesn’t want to sale to developers then she’d sale. So the girls get ready to do some DIY.
Warm and filled with drama! With the kick off to a brand new Emerald Bay series Leigh Duncan is laying the groundwork of the cousins who will convene to make their elderly aunt/mom's wish come true revolving around a family inn. This book is most definitely not a stand alone story as lots of tidbits are left up in the air and not developed, we just are meeting all of the cousins and seeing what is to come for the moment. One cousin was introduced but then didn't seem to be included nearly as much as the rest, so that felt slightly disjointed. It's slightly overwhelming to be thrust into so many different directions at once, but I see the potential of a heartwarming story overall and look forward to the continuation.
I recommend this book to someone that loves to dive into a connecting women's fiction series that promises lots of family love and drama with hints of romance along the way.
Side by side family will always be connected by heart...
What an amazing kick off to a new series. Treasure Coast Homecoming is poignant and moving from the first chapter. The Dane Crown Inn over the years has always been considered the jewel of Emerald Bay. Unfortunately, circumstances have dimmed the shine.
Margaret Dane is faced with a very tough decision, should she sell the Inn that has been in the family for years. Her daughter, nieces and nephew rally to see if they can put the brakes on that becoming a reality. I loved the family connection and the kinship the Dane family has.
Leigh Duncan has the amazing ability to make you really feel, smell and taste the beachside town with her descriptions. I am looking forward to reading the second book in the series, Treasure Coast Promise
I would firstly just like to say a big thank you to the author who very kindly forwarded an arc copy of her book, for my kindle, in return for my honest review.
Treasure Coast Homecoming is the first book in the new ‘Emerald Bay’ series and is the first one of six books.
Margaret has spent her life running Dane Crown Inn in the beautiful beachside town of Emerald Bay but now she has a heart wrenching decision to make…..
This book was full of the most wonderful and interesting characters, including the most grumpy mayor and i really enjoyed getting to know them all and how they added to the story.
This book was really well written in the most descriptive and heartwarming way.
At only 270 pages this book was an easy read and i found myself turning the pages quicker and quicker just to find out what was going to happen next…….
4.5 Stars This book kicks off what I think is going to be one heck of a series. I'm already invested in all the cousins' lives. This is an introduction to the family and sets up some interesting scenarios to come. We get a glimpse into their lives. Life has taken all the cousins into different directions, but when one of their own their Aunt Margaret needs their help it's all hands on deck. Life is not all the all pictured it and some are in some big crossroads with the path of their future. Emerald Bay is calling and once back they feel the sense of home. It's not gonna be easy that's for sure, but just may end up what this group needs. Sometimes you need to slow it down and appreciate what life is trying to tell you. I'm really excited for more from this series!! A tall task is given to the cousins to fulfill for the monarch of the family.
What a nice beginning to a new series. We are introduced to the Dane Crone Inn located in the beachside town of Emerald Bay. It was once “the” place to be but now it is aging and Margaret can no longer take care of it and the guests. So Margaret makes the tough difficult decision to sell it. But before doing so, she has her daughter and nieces come to grant her a final wish before she sells it. She would them to restore the inn and build the family closeness back again. Join them as they handle the twists and turns and the grumpy mayor to save the inn. What a heartwarming read. Look forward to the next book in the series.

Treasure Coast Homecoming is the first book in a new series by Leigh. This is a wonderful start and has been written brilliantly. With introductions to the family. Each chapter, in the beginning, tells the story behind Margaret ~ at eighty years old the owner of the family Dane Crown Inn, her daughter Belle, her nephew Scott his sisters Amy and Diane. and Kim and Jen Margaret's other nieces. All have their own story to tell, I felt that I was drawn into the story, and felt very true to life. I can honestly say that this is a brilliant book, I also look forward to reading the rest of the series, and I highly recommended this to all.

I really enjoyed this story. It ended a little abruptly but then the good news is that there are quite a few books in the series. YAY! Leigh Duncan paints a picture that you can see in your mind. An older family B&B is getting run down and there is just Aunt Margaret to handle everything as her daughter and all the cousins that came there as children have flown the coop for their own careers. Some are going well and some are floundering. When Aunt Margaret gets badly hurt, they all come together to help. I can't wait until the next installment.

I absolutely loved this book. It’s probably one of Leigh‘s best books thus far. Aunt Margaret’s Inn is falling into disrepair. The grumpy mayor is threatening to close it down. The cousins come to help rejuvenate the Inn before putting it on the market. Aunt Margaret wants one more Christmas and family reunion before that happens. One thing the cousins have in common are problems. They must rally together, put their issues aside and make the Inn what it used to be. I really believe this is a great holiday read. I don’t want to give away too much of the story. I do believe you won’t be disappointed.
Great intro to a new series! This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from Booksprout.
I loved this intro to the series. It definitely does its job. In it we meet Margaret, the sole survivor of the older generation who owns and operates the Dane Crown Inn. She's older and it's now obvious that she can't manage the inn on her own.
We also meet her daughter and her nieces and nephew. We get a thumbnail view at their lives, most now at crossroads, before they come together after Margaret's accident.
This new series and its intriguing set of characters is going to be a nailbiter. There are so many things going on, and each character has his or her own challenges. The characters aren’t all likeable (most are), but I suspect we are going to love them all by the end of the series. It’s going to be so much fun seeing how Leigh “fixes” all of those difficulties and shows us the true character of each family member. The inn needs a lot of work, and I suspect we are going to see a lot of fun and work to it as the series unfolds. I can’t wait!
I really enjoyed meeting Margaret and her daughter, Belle, and all her nieces. The Dane Crown Inn sounded like it had once been a really great place to stay. Too bad it needs a lot of work to bring it back to the Inn it used to be. I liked how the author had me hooked by the last page and now I have to wait for the next book! I was really hooked before that! I cannot wait to see what happens next with Margaret and her nieces. I hope Margaret does not have any more falls. I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.
Treasure Coast Homecoming is an introduction to the Emerald Bay Coast Series including its characters and storyline. The book is a family story surrounding Margaret, the elderly Inn owner who becomes debilitated due to an injury, and her daughter and nieces. Each character has their own story which is revealed briefly in this novel. This book has intriguing characters, drama, strong emotions, and humor. The next book in the series is TreasureCoast Promise.

A delightful story that draws you in to the sounds around and memories of this Inn. Family that held this gem for years, now changes were to be made. A wish before giving over the reins could they work together to fulfill. Dreams of their own now they were grown, lives now different, could they come. A story of family, memories and loves that went into this Inn that will delight the readers and this new series. Given ARC for my voluntary review.
She has one final wish before she puts a For Sale sign in front of the only home she’s ever known, but can her family make her dream come true?
If book one pulled me in this much I can't imagine how much the next ones in the series will grab me! An incredible story you'll be glad you added to your summer reading list.

I adore Leigh Duncan books. Leigh has a way of finding a character for everyone in her books to relate to. This book is no different. Her vivid descriptions of the characters and places had me hooked from the beginning. I am thrilled to know that there are more books!
Thank you 😊 for this wonderful book and I can't wait to see what happens with these cousins .

I started reading without reading reviews or anything about it. I enjoyed it. But as I stated to rin out of pages and the story was no where near completion, I realized this would not be a stand alone.
If you don't mind these book series that end with cliff hangers, no problem.
The characters were interesting. Lots of room for growth and exciting second chances.
I really enjoyed this book. The characters were generally engaging, and it was fairly easy to distinguish them from one another, despite a cast of similar people. All of the characters' conflicts were well laid out. Unfortunately, that is where the book ended. Six characters, and not a single one of them had a resolved story line. I don't like books that are written for the purpose of selling more books.
This is a great start to a new series. This book is a heartwarming story that is full of emotions. It has wonderful characters, beautiful scenery and keeps you turning the pages to see what happens next. I look forward to the next book in this series.

I really liked this story. It was about a dear old lady, Aunt Margret, who was reaching a point she could no longer care for herself or run the Dane’s Inn. Her nieces and daughter came to her rescue when she had fallen and broke her arm. What is happening next? Can’t wait to read the next episode.
Cousins have to decide what to do about the family inn when their mother/aunt gets to the point where she can no longer run it. This is a fairly good story with believable and likable characters. I enjoy a good book series when each book is a stand alone. This isn’t one of them. It just ends mid-story.
Aunt Margaret finds her old age is limiting her ability to properly care for her old family inn. Her daughter and nieces must step in, despite their own personal issues, to prepare the inn for a future sale.
This is a very interesting store, but I don't care for continuations.
What a heartwarming story . I like the characters and their back stories ,it allows readers to know them on a deeper level. I look forward to the next book. I highly recommend this book and enjoy.
Each one of the ladies has issues to overcome and it seems like Emerald Bay just might be where the healing begins. I can feel for Margaret. It is hard to grow older and be unable to do those things that use to be so easy.
I don’t feel that I was in the right head space for this book. I didn’t finish it as it was not very upbeat or positive. I have enough family drama in my own life that I don’t really need to have it in my books as well.
