Broussard Brothers #3

Bourbon Street Bachelor

Rate this book
Calliope’s been hurt too many times to let another man in, but Quentin Broussard’s about to turn her world upside down.

Calliope Koch was her high school’s “it” girl. Her dad treated her like a princess, so she believed she was one. Fast forward fourteen years, and Calliope has lost her father to another family, and she’s been dumped more times than she can count. The only thing keeping her going is the dream of running her own clothing boutique, but now the guy who called her quirky and caused one of those breakups is threatening to take this dream away from her, too.

She won't fall victim to another Broussard brother's smooth moves, no matter how hard Quentin is knocking on her door. And she’ll try to ignore the fact that he’s making her feel like the princess she once believed she was.

After having been forced out of New Orleans eighteen years ago, Quentin Broussard is now free to come back and reconnect with his family. But not all of them have such open arms. He would have left already if it weren’t for Calliope, who is healing a part of him he didn’t realize was broken. He’s got to figure out how to break down her walls and make her his, because now that he has experienced a world with Calliope Koch, he refuses to go back to one without her.

Bourbon Street Bachelor is book three in the Broussard Brothers series, which is set in the Big Easy and features three hot brothers and two interconnected New Orleans families with enough drama to fuel a Mardi Gras float.

Melissa Chambers has a way of writing that holds your interest.
In the final book of the series, Calliope meets Quentin Broussard in a grocery store. He pretty much stalks her down the isles of the grocery store.
Calliope runs a gift shop in the New Orleans French Quarter. Her dream is to rent the area next door to the shop.Needless to say, things don't work out for her as the Broussard family has again stepped in her way of achieving her future plans.
Family secrets causing dislike between brothers, wealth and lies are a part of the storyline.
Well written, enjoyable book by Melissa Chambers.
Thanks for the ARC.

All wrapped up with a unique wedding ring

Pull up your comfy-est chair, a snuggly blanket and your favorite beverage and snack. It is time to indulge yourself in another wonderful book by Melissa Chambers.

I love this book, the last in the Broussard Brothers series. Finally, the family is all reunited in New Orleans, but not without some serious family drama and a substantial number of growing pains. Secrets that have been hoarded for nearly two decades finally see the light of day, and people are revealed in all their reality -- the good, the bad, the ugly and the painful -- so the adult relationships being forged can be complete and authentic.

I always enjoy seeing new sides to familiar characters from earlier books in the series, and new characters from prior times who caused growth for the leads that made them what they are today. There was plenty of that, and blended families creating new bonds. Fun times. Old college friends seen from a new perspective. New friends that you feel like you have known forever. Stepping out of comfortable old routine; trying something new. Professional growth. Learning to like and respect yourself. New horizons. Laughter. Tears. Sizzling passion. Learning to trust. Feeling complete in yourself. Finding the other half of your soul. You are going to find all of the above in this book.

I received an ARC copy of this story from the author via BookFunnel and voluntarily chose to share my review.

I really enjoyed this book and this whole series! Quentin I think was my favorite Broussard brother since he was the most mysterious and elusive. But once you find out his back story and why he left to go to Colorado, you can't help but feel for the guy.

Calliope has had a rough love life. A mentally abusive boyfriend in college, a boyfriend that left her because of a baby momma showing up, and then when a current boyfriend was talking about his best female friend. She knew he was not the one since he had his heart set on another woman.

Calliope and Quentin have great chemistry and sure heat up the pages. They both have dreams and wants but don't think it is in the cards for them. Little do they know that fate has a way.

These two share their deepest secrets and concerns and really connect. I loved their love story and the completion of the Broussard Brother's trilogy.

I absolutely love Melissa Chambers writing and Bourbon Street Bachelor didn’t disappoint.

It’s the story of Quentin & Calliope. Quentin is the oldest Broussard brother who has been gone since his 18th birthday. Calliope is dealing with her own trust issues when it comes to men and love. The two previously met and were reunited at a chance run in. She was positive he was living up to his reputation and tried to brush off their initial attraction. They found themselves being able to open up to each other like they had never been able to before and their feeling began growing. Will any of it matter if they can’t move on from their pasts?

Thanks again for the ARC.

Quentin is my favorite Broussard brother. Don’t get me wrong. I loved Braxton and Garret, but Quentin has a depth to him that sets him apart. Both he and Calliope have demons in their past that they need to work around. They’re both isolated from others, either by choice or not, but together they begin to work through their past hurts. I was concerned that I would need more to their story, but was very satisfied with how everything ended up. What a great finale to the series.

I enjoyed reading about Quentin and Calliope.  They brought out the best in each other and seemed to really know the other person. I liked how encouraging Quentin was for Calliope to face her past, her dad, and her college boyfriend, Evan.  I am also glad that Quentin was able to confront his past which opened his heart to love.  He certainly was a misunderstood character in his family. Amazing how one person's action could affect and impact so many people. I really enjoyed the characters in this book.  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

Quentin moved out of state when he turned 18 and hasn't been around his family much since. After his younger brother Garrett went to see him and they decided to go into business together, he returned home. One of the first people he encounters is Calliope. He's known her for years, she even dated his youngest brother, Braxton, but he's instantly attracted to her and wants to get to know her better. Calliope has had her own dramas in her life that have made her change from who she was way back when to the person she is today. There are many issues with relationships in her past that she needs to work through before she's able to trust again, whether that's friendships with the girls or entering into a relationship with a hot guy like Quentin. While they're opening up to each other, Quentin tells her the secrets of his past, which he's never shared with anyone, not even his family. There's much to work through and it just isn't looking like it'll work so she grabs the opportunity of a lifetime and heads to Nashville to help a friend. Will the heart grow fonder or is it really the end? This is the last book in this series and I'm sorry to see it end. While this is just the third book I've read by this author, I really enjoy her characters and her writing style. I look forward to reading more by Ms. Chambers. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.

Quintin returns home after leaving his family behind him ascsoon as he turned 18 years. He is the oldest and his two younger brothers have settled down into committed relationships, but Quinien has avoided it. Calliope knows the family well, having dated one of the younger brothers in her earlier years, but her surprise meeting with Quinien in a supermarket brings back some unwelcome memories.
Both have their own demons on their shoulder ready to pounce. Secrets, lies and drama drive the Broussard family and they each play a part in it all. Koch
family is also not without its own issues and she also has issues caused by past, strained and failed relationships.
Characters from previous stories dip in and out throughout this one.
I have read the previous books in this three part series and they are all well written, interesting and entertaining, but the author has saved the best until last.

This was absolutely my favorite "Broussard Brothers" book" and Quentin was my favorite brother! We were able to see glimpses of him in the other "Broussard Bothers" books and I admit, I couldn't wait for his story to be written. Melissa Chambers did not disappoint!
I don't like to give anything away when I write a review, but I have to say, I was hooked right from the beginning. The opening sentence had me smiling and I just knew that I was going to enjoy this story.
"Bourbon Street Bachelor" has all the feels that you could want in a romance book: small town feel, loving yet unorthodox family, fun secondary characters, lively banter, and of course, a HEA.
This book is a delight that I would definitely recommend.

I received and ARC for an honest review.

I enjoyed Calliope Koch and Quentin Broussard story. They each had demons to work through which included; heartbreak in their lives, insecurities, family drama, secrets, you name it and it seemed to have happened to one or the other and sometimes both. This put them both afraid of commitment. As they both worked through their issues, they supported each other, always being there giving the other strength. I liked all three brothers, but Quentin was my favorite. You will now find out why he left home at 18 and didn’t return. Will he now be lifted from the hostility when the secret come to light? A story you can't put down.

This is the third book about the Broussard brothers but it can be read as a stand-alone. If you have read the other two books it will help with some background about the family dynamics though.
I have read all three books in the series and I liked this one best. I really enjoyed reading about Calliope and Quentin and how they both were hurt in the past and were trying to overcome it. They were both very relatable main characters and of course I loved meeting all the characters from the first books again.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Love hasn't been good for Calliope, nor has the love of family been good for Quentin. Can these these two emotionally vulnerable people be the ones to make their souls and hearts whole again. While they weren't really enemies they certainly were not friends and there is a lot of fun repartee. Its an easy read and continues the sage of the Broussard Brothers. Its both steamy and loving and an enjoyable read.

Bourbon Street Bachelor brings us to the final chapter of the Broussard Brothers series with the story of Quentin and Calliope. They each bring a lot of baggage to the relationship and must overcome trust issues. As long-kept secrets are finally revealed, the truth helps everyone in the Broussard family move forward. What a great conclusion! I can't wait to see where Melissa Chambers takes us next.

This is Quentin and Calliope's story. Quentin is the oldest brother who left home at 18. Calliope has trust issues and has been hurt to many times. We finally get the full story of why Quentin left home and never wanted to come back. There are trust issues, secrets and working thru past issues. Great way to end the series.

Will Caliope and Quentin ever be together. She’s been hurt too many times. No one wants their heart broken. Will life give them a chance to be happy together An easy, heartwarming story about life and love.
