As much a treasure hunt adventure as a mystery, this second volume of the Keith Calder mysteries continues to entertain and show us a Scotland that is, alas, no more. The novel is as interesting, perhaps more interesting, for its characters and locations as its mystery plot. But mystery lovers, there are mysteries. If you like mysteries, good writing, good characters and locations, the outdoors, dogs and shooting sports, you should try Gerald Hammond's Keith Calder novels while they are available via Kindle Unlimited.
These books combine a good mystery with colorful characters that also provide some delightful humor. This is a very enjoyable read which is hard to put down.
