-- Advanced instruction from the highly acclaimed author of Who's Afraid of C++? and Who's Afraid of More C++? -- Written especially to meet the needs of established C++ programmers -- Filled with real solutions to real programming problems, all fully documented and explained -- Achieves a level of accuracy and precision missing from most programming books -- On the accompanying CD, provides all the source code from the book, along with a compiler for generating executable programsShining C++ aims higher than the author's earlier very successful C++ books, presenting more established programmers with Heller's imaginative, technically sound solutions to real-world programming challenges that he has collected over the past 20 years. Serious developers will find this to be a refreshing approach -- a welcome change from books that attempt to illustrate important techniques using highly artificial problems and solutions. Readers will also appreciate the author's engaging style, as well as the depth and breadth of the understanding that he brings to his discussion of programming in general and C++ programming in particular.
