To penetrate the mystery of a double murder and kidnapping in a small Texas town, prosecutor Kelsey Thatch will have to unearth a shocking secret--one that could destroy the town forever.
Good story, well written. I wonder about Kelsey however. As a a prosecutor, she must be aware that it is almost impossible to successfully prosecute a second person for the same crime, even more so when the first suspect was convicted. In spite of this, and in spite of her doubts, she vigorously went after Billy Fletcher. The book ends without letting us know if she got a guilty verdict on Morgan Fletcher.

Though not breathtakingly suspenseful, this tale keeps the reader wondering, and hoping its protagonist will succeed in her venture. It also delivers some surprises before it's all worked out. A most satisfying read.
