A book by a practitioner, not a theologian. He admits that much of the book is based on his personal experiences. He points out that many situations we face do not have a chapter and verse to give us specific guidance. In dependence on God and within the "tether" of Scripture, we fill in the blanks of current experience with choices. We learn from those choices. We build ways of dealing with things. That's how he justifies his deliverance ministry and many of the practices promoted in this book.

One of his key ideas: John 14:12, Jesus said, "Those who believe in me will do what I do."
Key practice: Believers can exercise spiritual authority in Jesus by speaking. "The spirit world is always listening" (though not omni present). Sometimes, evil spirits need to be informed of whose side you're on and what sphere of influence God has given you. They will have to back off because they operate along some of the same authority lines that we operate by.

We can learn from Kraft.

This was sort of academic reading for me, as I prepared for our 2025 theme (Authority) at IC:Madrid. I really enjoyed the theological exploration of a supernatural realm that Western Christians often ignore. Through the author's own journey from ignorance and even skepticism to acceptance of the power given by Christ, I felt strengthened in my own sense of the supernatural and the way to handle it in our church.
