Rekindled (Fountain Creek Chronicles, #1) by Tamera Alexander Revealed (Fountain Creek Chronicles, #2) by Tamera Alexander Remembered (Fountain Creek Chronicles, #3) by Tamera Alexander
Rekindled

I read this all in one day in two sittings. Well to be honest, it's now 5:22am... so just over one day. :) If you liked Francine Rivers' Redeeming Love or Tracie Peterson's Yukon Quest then you are sure to love this little novel. Heartbreaking struggle from both ends of a marriage to make things work in the best of times and worst of times with a second chance is just fabulous. A great read!

Revealed

This book is completely about forgiveness. It is a sequel, but is about a completely different character and could stand on it's own. Everyone has a past, but more importantly everyone has a future. Here the author has made two very different people come to an understanding of each and it is beautiful to see God working in people's hearts and souls. I strongly recommend this book to anyone in particular, but especially to someone who is holding a grudge that they just cannot let go of, either to someone else, or more importantly to themselves. I know I can find a way to relate. I'm sure you can too.

Remembered

This book was the best of the trilogy. Really in this series, each book was better and better. A companion whose only thing she has ever lacked was a father goes in a forced search to find him when it seems all else is lost to her. She finds everything that she was meant to find, even when she did not realize that is what she was looking for. This story tells of patience, learning God's will and His timing, love, loss, friendship, fears, and the gift of giving. It is all around a great read.

Tamara Alexander is a hard author to beat as far as character composition goes. While relatively "clean", these books do not stray from tackling true emotions, lust, and the battles we face as human beings surrounding the act of sex. The first book is about a woman struggling to remain faithful to a husband that has all but abandoned her, and the result is beautiful and strong. The second tackles prostitution in a way that is very honest and real, revealing hypocrisy surrounding the genders roles', and, while it ends with a positive; I felt myself demanding more. The third is just as poignant and real, if it does tackle a slightly different type of woman, she is still determined and gritty. Every woman in the series is relatable and reminds us of just how fragile and bittersweet life was in the early wild west, especially for a woman.

These are great books! But my favorite by far is the last "Remembered" I could not put this book down and laughed out loud in some parts. I highly recommend these books to anyone wanting a clean romantic that has faith laced throughout it.

These were all great, but I think Remembered was my favorite. I love that I can go from one book to the next and hear about the other characters lives as they continue. I would love for her to write another book in this series for Lilly!

I loved all the characters, and thought each book was unique and well written. In Rekindled, Book 1, I liked how the prologue started, and then the book started 5 months earlier, to catch us up on what led to the scene in the prologue. At times it was frustrating, because I was impatient to get back to that part in the book, and then move on to the present. Revealed, Book 2, was great, too. I was confused at first, because I wasn't sure who Annabelle had married, because I didn't think he was a character in the first book, so I was struggling with getting caught up in Annabelle's recent past, as there were some gaps from the end of book 1, to the beginning of book 2. I didn't really understand Matthew's gambling debt, or what led him to do such a thing- that was never really explained, at least not to my satisfaction. But I enjoyed reading his complete turn-around and change of heart. I thought his transformation was believable. I congratulate the author on creating an unmistakable woman of great strength, determination, and patience in Annabelle. My one complaint would be that there was no epilogue. If only 1 of these stories needed an epilogue, it was THIS story, but sadly, it is the only one without it. Very disappointing, but at least we get little snippets of their lives in book 3, Remembered. Book 3 was definitely my favorite of the trilogy. I loved the chemistry between Jack and Veronique, and enjoyed watching their characters grow. It was such a great love story to read, and I am glad she was reunited with her father in the end. I would have loved to read more of their reunion, and in fact more of the other characters in general!! There were so many great people from this town that should get their own story or short story, especially Lilly.

I loved the first book I read from this author, The Inheritance, and I feel the same about this trilogy. I will definitely be reading more of her books.

I like these Christian authors who create engaging and wholesome characters. Yes, there are some historical flaws, but I love being taken back to this time period where I can grow to love characters akin to Laura Ingalls and Abbie Deal (A Lantern In Her Hand) once again. The male characters are imperfect but righteous while the female ones are a bit too perfect; but there is nothing wrong with high standards. The first book in the series was not that engaging at the beginning, but I grew to really enjoy it by the end. The second and third books just continued to get better.

I recommend to an older high school reader because these books, especially #1 and #2 give significant focus on characters and situations that involve brothels.

I adored this series. I must say the writer hooked me into these characters right from the beginning and loved seeing how each had grown from book to book. I so wish there were more books in the series because I felt such a kinship to them all and want to hear more about their lives. I think she also does a wonderful job of describing the area, I can picture it in my mind's eye and it is just so beautiful. Definately recommend reading this series.

Well, I thought that the first one was a little bit slow. It didn't really hold my attention so it took longer to finish. The second book was really good I thought. But the third book was by far my favorite. I loved the third one! The cool thing about this series thought was the fact that the three ladies it centers upon are the best of friends. So you find out what happens to the other ladies in the later books.

I have only read the first book in this series, but I want to read the others. I liked the story, although it was a bit slow moving at times. Truth be told I read about half, and then skipped to the final chapters! So I will see what the other books are like...

All the books were good -- the 1st was my favorite. Sometimes her novels are a little slow at the beginning and hard to get into, but in the end, I'm always captured end usually end up loving the book.

I've got to be honest! I didn't like this series as much as the first one I read but it was good. She could have added more details and interaction with the other characters in the books but it was a decent read!
