Memoir of life in a rural village/hamlet in the south of England just down the road from here. Peter Hewett was born in 1914. His 2 main boyhood passions: collecting wild birds’ eggs and catching butterflies and pinning and mounting them. How things have changed. For the better, as far as Pete’s hobbies go!
