This was really poor although perhaps interesting as an insight into the privileged, Eton class background of the writer. Wanted to read this to get an insight into one of Scotland’s finest ever golfers and the man responsible for the design of 100’s of golf clubs around the country but, although Braid seems to have been well known by the author, there is precious little of that. Instead we get reams of scores and speculations of how the matches and tournaments might have turned out. Braid is renowned for his course design and there is a paltry 10 pages on it which is little more than a list.
