One of the most inspiraring tutorial books on kayaking I have ever read. And so full of humor.
You can find more technical advanced books, for sure, but this is actually the only one I have read form start to end, and enjoyed it.

I read this book to get ready for an upcoming tour in the San Juan Islands. I only hope I have as much fun on my trip as I had reading this book. Very entertaining read, clever and helpful illustrations, corny jokes, its the whole package. But what's with the backward signature?? Wierd.
