Enjoy a visual look into the Prophet's humble beginnings. Bask in the serenity of the sacred in New York, learn of revelations in Ohio, and witness the heartache of Missori. This book combines the photography of John Telford and the words of Susan Easton Black. It is a beautifully done very summary-level life of the prophet Joseph Smith. The pictures take you there and add to the ability to imagine what his life and experiences may have been like. The book also highlights the challenges and great accomplishments of such a short life. At 109 pages and with all the pictures this is a quick read. I liked that the endnotes did such a good job of citing the sources of the information provided and gave you ideas of where you could go to dig deeper and learn more.
Such a sweet, profound story of the life of Joseph Smith and the organization and growth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Beautiful pictures of the countryside around Palmyra, Kirkland and Nauvoo as well as buildings, etc. surrounding these three important cities to many latter-day saints.
Beautiful book. Loved the pictures, it’s done very well. Great overview of the Prophet Joseph Smiths life. I loved the powerful quotes. Great coffee table book!
